Icom M25 Waterproof Handheld VHF Marine Radio - Blue

Superb product from Icom with convenient USB charging very light and great radio performance, I never go to Sea withought my VHF radio I have Standard Horizon also but the Icom quality is amazing with regards to transmission and reception quality. Battery life more than adequate and can now charge very easily with portable power bank or in car as and when required. I would thoroughly recommend based upon price performance, and if you don't have VHF and you go to Sea you are risking your life to do so mobile phones don't always work and no matter what any manufacturer says I would not rely on any mobile phone surviving a dunking overboard and it certainly won't float like this radio will.

Works out of the box with a short charge to top mine up. Have used in all weathers and conditions from various small boats and larger vessels as a commercial diver. Great little unit.

This is a great marine radio.... but.... Let's get the good stuff out the way. It looks good, is waterproof, floats and has a LED that flashes when it's in the water.. the usb charging makes life so simple, so on the face of it, this is great. Setting the radio to scan two or 3 channels is easy once you read which buttons to press together, so no issues here either. All in all it's great. There are a couple of things it could do better... firstly it feels a little cheap. not sure why, just doesn't have the solid weight other radios do, but then again it's meant to float! Secondly the volume is a real faff to change. you have to select a button to switch mode to change volume, then use up and down, so no quick easy way to change volume. You get used to it, just a faff... Finally, the unit floats, but it's painted in the main black... and the red led shines through a frosted black back panel....i suspect if you did drop it, you would struggle to see it.. it would have been nice to have a couple of reflective stickers - maybe one silver or yellow you can choose to add to back panel. I would still buy it again, but it's doesn't get the perfect radio stamp from me.

This is a good radio especially as it has a USB charging point which means I am not dependent on an electric supply as I can use a power station when out in remote areas.

Bought this for kayaking having completed vhf course. Good value for money. I find it useful to talk to other people on the water if an instruction required. More expensive ones have digital link up. But this simplistic radio holds its charge well. Flashes if in the ocean. And you can summon help if necessary.

Easy to use VHF radio for use on the Thames or in coastal shallows. Good display, floats, bleeps and flashes when dropped in water. Can also use it to call for help.

A brilliant radio, very easy to use. Far better than anything I have had in the past. Highly recommend it.

Tyvärr så känns inte kvalitén så bra, plastigt och ömtåligt ”fönster” framför all information samt att det är svårt att läsa informationen på displayen, förutom kanalsiffrorna. Det finns säkert bättre! Har en handburen Icon av äldre modell och den är betydligt bättre.
