Great 6" feeler gauge!
I really don't know why everyone is whining about the product being shipped in oil. No where does this listing say it is stainless steel. ALL Metal products (that are not stainless steel) are shipped in a coating of oil, so they don't rust. So, when you get your feeler gauge set, either wipe off each blade one by one or spray it down with brake cleaner. Then, you had better apply a small amount of WD-40 or something, or it will rust! I bought this to use the 0.2mm gauge for my 3D printer. I left the enter oily set in the bag it came in, but removed the 0.2mm gauge. I then put that in a Ziploc bag with a folded paper towel into which I squirted some WD-40. I wipe it off with Isopropyl Alcohol before using, then back in the bag with the oil and paper towel. This is a really beautiful product and well worth the money.

Needed size
Needed a 0.09 mm to verify cylinder head flatness. Works perfect as the gauges are long which helps out when measuring. Price is nice also compared to tool truck prices.

Covered in oil, easily cleaned.
Update: doh, that is, why didn’t I see something this obvious earlier: Just undo the bolt that holds the blades in the handle. Lay them out on a paper towel and use a couple more to remove the oil. They work fine Older: Looked ok, but were covered in oil. I’ve bought plenty of other small metal items - files, measuring devices - from amazon and they all came wrapped in VOC paper, never in oil. I imagine the oil coating is a better rust preventative, but I need to measure violin string clearances next to the nut in tenths of a millimeter and I don’t need any oil residue contaminating the fingerboard. Rather than spending time laboriously scrubbing every piece of oil from every single feeler blade, I’m going to return this and try to find one that is shipped dry. Otherwise they looked like what I needed.

Nice feeler gauges (using on my 3D printer)
Update August 2019:These gauges are still working fine for me but the ones that I use regularly are pretty corroded. The corrosion is a very thin layer so this is still fine for setting the gap for my 3D printer nozzle. I suspect that you are not supposed to wipe off the excessive amount of oil that is on them. The next time I buy a set of these, I will check to see if someone makes a stainless steel version.Original Review:I bought these to calibrate the nozzle height on my 3D printer (using .08, .09, .1). They work great for my purpose and the extra length makes them easy to use. They attach to the handle with a screw + plastic nut. I removed the ones that I use regularly so I don't have to hold the whole set all the time. I checked the accuracy of them with a cheap pair of digital calipers and they checked out. Not sure how precise these are for those that need more precision that I do.The only negative is that they are very oily -- I assume to prevent corrosion or maybe this is just from manufacturing. I cleaned them off with alcohol to avoid getting oil on my printer build surface.

Accurate though a bit hard to read
What's good: - they were accurate and inexpensiveWhy these weren't a 5:1/2 star off for being a little tricky to read1 1/2 stars for being absolutely drenched in oil/grease -- literally dripping. I can see a little lubricant to keep them from sticking together but this was absurd!

These are accurte
I bought this because I only needed the 0.10mm one for 3d printing but to buy that alone was going to cost the same as this entire set. I have checked and at least the one that is 0.10mm is exactly 0.10mm end to end.

Some between sizes not there in the larger sizes
I wish there was a .035 and .045 but if you look at the picture it shows sizes and you could double them up , to get the between sizes I like the length , it's best to have short and angle sets to , depending on application .
