The plot slows down just a little bit, and there is more violence and killing in the second half of the movie.You find out more about Isuke, the women, the priest at the temple, the chief's son (mayor), and the young girl in the red kimono. There really is a curse on the village, it is not just a superstition, and you will see just how far the curse reaches.The ending has some surprises, thankfully it breaks the final girl trope.Acting is still good to campy, so I enjoyed it but some acting was just laughable.There is a rape scene, so you may not want to watch it if you can't stomach scenes like that.Content advisory, there is a rape scene, murders, more gore, blood, and violence. So faint of heart may still dislike this movie.I will be watching the movie again. It was much better than I expected.
