This review is for Tim-Bor Insecticide And Fungicide 25 Pound Pail.I used this product to treat a carpenter ant problem around my house that began last May. I sprayed the house, around the landscaping, and all the concrete around the house. After a warm winter, and now several weeks of weather above the fifties, sometimes into the seventies, I have not seen one ant. Tim-Bor is easy to mix in a sprayer, and the 25 pound bucket will last for several seasons to come. I tried baits, both powder and gel, but the ants quickly caught onto those. The Tim-Bor, they just walked through. I could spray it directly on them, and they would just keep going. Don’t expect immediate results. It took days to see the first dead, and that number kept increasing until I never saw another one. This product saved me potentially thousands of dollars, and I recommend trying it before calling an exterminator.

This went on easy, and stopped the powder post beetles and other wood borers from eating our log home. It was reccomended by a professional. Very easy. You absolutely have to use hot water for it to dissolve.

Decent product though we have only just applied it so cannot vouch for how it performs over time yet.Dont know why but every tub of powder was packaged in the box upside down. May not be a huge deal but a bit risky if box were dropped - though perhaps the tub would split regardless.Application was easy with backpack sprayer. Did not alter the finish of our pine logs (log home) and rails. Created a fine crystalline texture but not an issue - stained right over it once dry. Will update review once I have some time on this batch!Update after 12 months (5-20-2015) - We had no viable activity on the home prior to treatment and nothing in the 12 months following. We did however just catch a bumble bee in action drilling some sizable holes in a treated post. There is sawdust residue down the post showing activity. The product does not claim to treat for Bees so I cannot complain but it was impressive to see this guy at work.I will next be using a tub or two to treat a barn with considerable powder post beetle damage. Plan is to cease future damage and then make repairs as needed. Will post an update on this ongoing project!

This comes highly recommended from a building professional I trust. The value is pretty good too and this bucket is going a long way. I am using it to pre-treat my building lumber before closing in and finishing the walls. I'm going to see if I can find some dye or maybe try food coloring so it is easier to see where I've treated and the coverage.DO NOT leave the product in your sprayer -- I left a bit in there (against the manufacturers directions) and it crystalized. So just make sure you use what you mix and then run some clear water through to clean things out.

Tim-Bor Professional seems like a better bargain then Bora care. It mixes well with warm water and doesn't clog the sprayer . I mixed it with D LImenen in from Citrus depot and injected it into termite infested wood, so far it seems to be working. A month after treatment I don't see any new droppings from the termites. I treated wooden pallets that I stack my firewood on, only time will tell if the pallets rot from sitting on the ground. I will be treating the bare wood underneath the bathroom floor and walls. Once again, will the termites come back? Will the studs rot from moisture? Only time will tell.

this container the product is well worth it. I purchased a home that had termites damage and wanted to make sure I did all I could to prevent any further problems.

I Used it to pre-treat the studs in my new house for termites. I mixed it up in my backpack sprayer and added some blue dye, and sprayed away. I hope it works... Application was easy. I called the local exterminator and they wanted $300 for spraying boracare... This and boracare both have a boric acid base, that's what kills termites. I used the whole bucket in my 2500 sf house; I sprayed 4' up the exterior and interior walls, and garage.
