Digital Communication Systems 1st Edition

The book was OK but left out core parts of digital communication systems such as carrier and timing synchronization for modulated signals, no mention of S curves or timing error detectors. There was mention on phase synchronization/timing for an unmodulated carrier but that section was very poorly written. Also the book failed to prove that a matched filter maximized SNR(not that it really matters).

The author approaches the subject with high competence.The student will find valuable insights by reading it with application.Grigore Caragacianu
