Encyclopedia Prehistorica: The Complete Collection

These pop-up books are not just for kids. They are beautifully illustrated works of art and you can't beat the Amazon price - Barnes and Noble wanted over 120 for this set. My 5 year old checked Megabeasts out of the library and could not get enough of it, he didn't want to bring it back. He asked for it every week until the holidays which is odd for him - most things he "has to have" are forgotten in a few days, with this he asked over and over for months. It is definitely worth it to buy the set - all 3 books are beautiful and come in a box with a small drawer in the bottom with 3 stand-alone creatures which was a nice surprise. My son and I love to look at these together and he has learned so much about prehistoric creatures. Everyone that has seen them has loved them and wanted a set of their own. The price is more than reasonable for what you get. These are books that he will read to his children as they are worth keeping and treasuring for years. I would recommend this to people of all ages.

We first came across his books visiting somebody's house. They had a whole entire kids library in their basement. My son became so consumed with these books that we couldn't leave with...! They must definitely left a lasting impression... That we ordered this set 2 years later Because he continually ask for those books!

This is the most fantastic set of popup books I have ever seen. Each page of each book has a very large and detailed popup animal, with many more popup animals to be revealed at nearly every corner of every page. This set also comes with a drawer at the bottom of the case, that contains three popup animals (one for each book topic) that can be opened and put on display. If I could, I would give this set more than the five stars allowed. There are so many 'pieces' of paper that make up each animal, I would not recommend it for small children, unless an adult opened each page and each corner 'pocket'.

I ORDERED THE ENCYCLOPEDIA PREHISTORICA FOR MY 6 YEAR OLD GRANDSONS BIRTHDAY. THIS SET IS THE ULTIMATE POP UP BOOK COLLECTION. A WORK OF ART AS WELL AS EDUCATIONAL. HE WILL TREASURE IT FOR YEARS TO COME.. MAYBE MORE INFORMATION ON THE BEAUTY OF THE POP UPS. GREAT FOR ALL AGES.

This is a great set of books, in a very neat and nice-looking box. The only reason i give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that though the books are very good, i think they are still a notch below the other books by the same artist (e.g. Peter Pan).

Robert Sabuda is a genius. I shared some of his books (I have most of his) with two children, who treated his art with the respect it deserves. These books are awesome.

Fun for anyone - it was very well constructed and the meticulous details are amazing.
