Leather Emporium Mens New Black Soft Leather Driving Gloves

These are a very nice pair of leather gloves, made of thin, soft, and seemingly good quality leather. They fit my hands well so the sizing is about right. They look well-made with good stitching and a nice lining. Must confess that I never wear gloves while driving and intend to use these for everyday wear, as have been wearing similar type gloves in this regard for many years. A previous reviewer complained about the smell but my pair just have the usual 'new leather' smell which I don't find offensive and which I am sure will fade away in a couple of months. Very good value for the price.

I purchased a pair of these gloves 10 days ago and have worn them for driving locally about 6 or 7 times. They are made of beautifully comfortable soft leather and have a warm lining. However (there is so often a however or a but) there is a major problem with the stitching. On both gloves the stitches on the rear of the thumb have split and the leather is rapidly opening up. This is not because the gloves are a size too small in fact they are a tad too large which is OK for me. The problem appears to be that the gloves are badly proportioned. The leather is too tight around the thumb area and generous elsewhere. I must also add that the micro stitching is showing signs of breaking at other places such as the 3 rows on the glove backs. The stitching is obviously done by machine and the thread used is far too small and not strong enough. This is all such a pity as the gloves are so comfortable, I am going to attempt to over sow the weak point otherwise I will purchase one of the more expensive pairs sold here - which in hindsight I should have done in the first place.

They seem fine as gloves go but I ordered them under the description of driving gloves, and driving gloves they are most definitely NOT. In these days of high tech cars where steering column switches serve many different functions, these gloves are far too bulky and restrictive. It is for this reason that I have since ordered a pair of fingerless gloves to suit my driving requirements. I repeat, the gloves are fine but the description is very misleading. Disapointing.

Had these for a couple f weeks now .Ive used then everyday from picking up leaves and garden waste to driving and they are great no sign of the stitching coming undone and they really do keep my fingers warm .Before I bought these gloves I would get about with my hands in plastic bags filled with hot water . Lots of spillage and no good for driving so these gloves have made life a lot drier

I bought these as kite gloves (not kite surfing but for flying 'kids' kites) because I use a reel for my kite string. I was recommended real leather rather than soft chammy leather or man-made fabric because the kite line can burn through this material and burn your fingers. Shiny leather, like these, are much better.The leather is quite thin, which is what I wanted, and it has a thin lining too, which I wasn't that bothered about but works well. These are cheap enough that I can cut the tops of the fingers off if I need to.Not sure how long the stitching will last but they didn't fall apart after their first outing, so we're doing ok so far.For the price, you can't go wrong.

Probably the best leather gloves i've ever bought. Years down the line they are still performing as they did on the first day.Take car of these gloves and they will take care of you.They actually keep my hands warm when it's cold, a problem I had with other gloves in the past not doing so.My primary use for these gloves are for driving.

I have always considered myself to have large hands, so I had some reservations about the size to order from the options available. Instinct would have said "Order the Large size", but I took a chance and went for the "length" measurement, which suggested I should order Medium. Glad I did, they are a perfect, snug, comfortable fit, which is the way I like to wear gloves. Nothing worse than to have a loose fit!Thoroughly recommend this item - and trust the size guide to get a good fit.

These are brilliant, genuine leather and also have 3M Thinsulate in them, for the price you can't go wrong, they even have a special pad on both index fingers so you can use your touchscreen phone. They're a good fit and will keep my hands nice and warm during the cold months, very pleased with them.
