Bernat Velvet Yarn, 10.5 oz, 1 Ball, Blackbird

I purchased this yarn to make mini loaf cats for my local nursing home residents. It’s perfect! The crushed velvet yarn is easy to work with. No issues of the yarn shedding or flaking (even when you have to undo a few stitches). So soft and cuddly.

This yarn is incredibly soft, I can’t wait to start my little happy Halloween Ghost with a witches hat that will be this color. It slides off your hood like butter. Shipping was fast and packaged will. I highly recommend this yarn. Thank You!

Like internet crocheters say, velvet yarn is going to be harder to see stitches with. What I did not then realize is that black yarn PAIRED with the reflective-ness of velvet would be a combination of ultra-hard-to-see. That's more a personal thing, though. Overall, it's as you'd expect of a velvet bernat yarn-- didn't shed too often even when I had to keep pulling it apart, too.
