DHP 2263059 Miles Metal, Black Futon Frame

This was so easy to put together and looks nice. It’s a little stiff when switching to a bed, but it feels heavy and durable.

This is a sturdy futon frame which holds my mattress as described. Now that I have it assembled, I can say I am satisfied, but the assembly was a bit tricky.Several parts do not match up with the illustrations of those parts in the instructions and with part Q in particular, that affected how the parts could be put together. From the hardware pack, there were 4 parts that never got used and I had to make use of fully half the extra parts side to actually be able to put this together.By the time I was done, I had the sense that the instructions, hardware pack, and frame parts may have all been from different versions or generations of the model. Deductive reasoning and intuition prevailed, but be aware that if you purchase this item, you may have to call on your furniture assembly superpowers. Once you get it figured out, it seems a worthwhile purchase so far.

Easy assembly and tools needed included, also included some extra bolts in case one was lost or is needed later. So far it is working perfectly for us as a replacement for out RV couch.

I purchased this frame for $105 about a year ago. It was worth about that. Now it's very expensive on Amazon. After a few months one of the small support bars that holds up the futon snapped off. The futon mattress would slide off it with this bar broken and after some more months, I looked into getting a replacement part. The DHP customer service website said "Missing a part or need to replace a part? No problem! Simply fill out this form and we’ll send it your way!" So I filled out the replacement part and they sent and email saying it was shipped. When it did not come, I emailed customer service. After putting me through the inquisition requiring photos and documentation, they said that my product was beyond warranty (by a few days) and they wanted me to send them $43 for the tiny metal replacement part. This was after their website said the piece would be free and after they shipped it to me for free. I'm obviously not going to pay 50% of my entire purchase for a 5 inch piece of metal.Beyond the poor customer service, this product just isn't all that great. I also purchased the mattress and it's not really great either. It smelled bad for a long time and the buttons popped off it very shortly after using.I'm fine with it because it's a $105 mistake, but I would not suggest making a $400+ mistake.

Overall not bad for the price. It seems pretty sturdy once fully assembled. The picture is of it with the mattress purchased separately and dressed up.The assembly was not easy. It went smooth for a while. Then we ran into parts that the holes were not threaded for the screws. It was very difficult to get these screws in without cross threading them. Other than that the assembly was not bad.

Fortunately good at assembling stuff, directions were a bit sketchy but got it done, used a battery operated drill with the correct ends to match the screws and it easily went together. Looks good will go with any decor.

This futon is mid at best, but that is what I expected. Get a decent mattress to go with it and it should fine.

This came as described with easy instructions. The quality is great and has held up well. We would recommend it and purchase it again in the future.
