Educational and FUN!
SmartToys packaging is always beautiful, so it was no surprise to receive a bright, vibrant, fun box full of excitement and potential for educational and creative use of imagination. My son and I had a great time putting this together for his friend's birthday. He colored a piece of it and the intention is for her to finish it... creating a thoughtful, meaningful and entertaining gift that she can be reminded of every time she goes into her room. I would definitely recommend this as a gift for your child or for your child to give to one of their friends. After the kiddo get's done adding their own personality to it... it becomes a perfectly imperfect bedroom decor item for them to be proud of.

Fun kit, educational and entertaining activity.
The Kids Lamp DIY Kit - Make Stained Glass Nightlight with Window Paint and Circuit - Educational Arts and Crafts, is a lot bigger than I thought. This will make a great addition as a stocking stuffer for my 6 year old. Good quality and comes with everything you need to decorate it. I will post a picture once we finish the activity. The shipping was very fast and the box was perfect upon arrival. Cant wait to get more of these kits.

Oh, Snap
It’s hard to imagine a world before LED lights. They are ubiquitous in indoor/outdoor lighting fixtures, but due to their versatility, scalable size, and lumen intensity they can also provide accent or ambient lighting in toys like LEGO kits or arts-and-crafts projects like this Night Lamp (I wonder why Hasbro hasn’t reformatted the classic Lite Brite with LED lights). Only seven pieces – four paint pens, the LED unit, the backing and the art/lamp shade - make up this kit. That simplicity is part of its appeal – this is not an intimidating or complicated project. The shade is a large 9 x 6-sized surface with preprinted and blacklined spaces for painting - the effect is similar to stained glass. The paint itself applies thickly but dries thinly allowing the “colorful” light to come through. In daylight, it looks unremarkable and underdone, but the image works best backlit. We enjoyed creating this lampshade, but our shade would not stay snapped to the backing frame - we had to use duct tape to secure it – which is why this otherwise clever, useful, and pretty night lamp is a 4-star purchase.

Cool DIY project
DIY kit includes color-changed LED lights with a battery box, window paint and lamp shade. We also having fun mixing paint colors to create some more. It’s pretty easy to install and can be used as a wall or desktop lamp👍🏻 Cool lights, to keep kids busy, creative and practicing their art skill

fun activity, not so good night lamp
It’s fun for LITTLE child to paint but then the night-lamp itself is beyond flimsy and comes apart all the time. I tried to use it so my girl will enjoy the results of her art. But battery is falling and lights don’t hold inside. I glued them and it’s not great. It’s very weak which is expected for a night light but then it eats up your batteries very very fast and you need to change them at least once a week. The turn off switch is tiny and bad, little kid cannot turn it on and off. Especially each time you do it, something else comes apart… So in general I prefer sunlight catchers for painting activity. But it makes an original present, I guess.

Fun and Functional
I like this product. It incorporates art and crafts with a touch of learning about electricity. I would recommend this to anyone. I must confess, I got this for my grandniece, but I find myself interested in putting it together. So, she may only wind up seeing the finished product. It's cool to break away from TV and work, to have some good old fashion activity, based on what I create with my own 2 hands. Very therapeutic.

Fun for a wide age range
My 10-year-old had a lot of fun painting the nightlamp and putting it together. It is an easy assembly that is is good for ages 5+. There is no set way to paint the lamp panes so the kids can use their imagination with how they want it to look. I also like that the lamp changes colors when you turn it on.

Fun, DIY Project!
I really enjoyed this product. It was simple to build and the color changing lights included were a great extra touch! It's made from a sturdy plastic material so it holds up well. I suggest coloring before building as the curvature to the shade makes the paint drip a little and become thicker in certain spots. (It doesn't take all that long to dry). One of the best features is that the paint can peel up (I used my fingernail and firm pressure) so mistakes are easy to fix! The only downside for me was that the pink tube. If it had been red I could have created just about any other color I wanted but with pink, it wasn't quite right. I would have liked to see a red and white tube rather than a pink one. Be warned, the paint smell is a little strong, which makes sense, I just wasn't expecting it. I hope they make future designs!
