Great tool to correct children’s pencil grip
Perfect tool to help my children hold the pencil correctly. My children that are using this are ages 5, 8, and 10. At first they said it feels weird because they are not used to holding the pencil that way, but with this tool it forces them to hold it correctly. They actually like it, also because of the fun colors and how soft the rubber is. Great tool!

Works great!
My little ones loved the colors. They thought of it as a game... the material is soft and they enjoyed learning where to place their fingers when using the pencil grip. Over all the pencil grips work great, although it only works with slim pencils, crayons or marker. This will not work with any of the chuncky art supply that they normally make for toddlers and preschoolers.

Recommended by my son's OT
My son is 5 and gets occupational therapy. He has weak hand grip and his therapist recommended this to help him hold his pencil properly. She's been using a regular pencil grip and having him hold something in his palm to correct his pencil grasp but this is much easier for him to use. The ring replaces the item in his palm and makes it more comfortable for him while writing. Highly recommend the product but wish it wasn't so pricey.

Wonderful little invention, cute for kids.
These have been so great. My 3-year old took to them so easily. I had been trying for a couple of months to teach her to hold the pencil the correct way but she stubbornly told me she liked her way better. I put these on and bingo! She loved them. A couple of weeks after introducing these I noticed her holding a pencil correctly on her own! I haven't even used these very regularly but somehow they did the trick and she has never gone back to her incorrect hold.

Recommend by my son’s occupational therapist
We really like these grippers. My son is 6 and his OT suggested purchasing these to help him with his handwriting struggles. We keep them at home and sent some to school to help him there. It took a bit for him to get used to his finger placement, but now he is easily able to place his fingers in the gripper. It has helped so much with his hand writing!! If you have kids with problems with fine motor skills this is a must!

Three packages arrived broken and one of them arrived incomplete.
I ordered 7 packages, 3 of them arrived broken and one arrived incomplete (6 out of 8). The quality of the product is very good, I was looking for grips for thick pencils and these work perfect, but unfortunately some arrived in very poor condition and one was incomplete.

Kids *want* to use these, and they really do force proper grip
My tutoring students come to me with a range of handwriting ability, from the painful-to-watch to really quite good, but they all ask to use these grips because they're just so adorable. (I only wish I could buy a set in all tie-dye, since that's the one everyone wants!)They aren't *helpful* for my kiddos who already have decent grips going on, and because they're a bit bulky can even make handwriting less excellent for those kids (but only while they're using them). On the other hand, for the kiddos who tend to hold their pencils like Coke cans or baseball bats, these pencil grips are *wonderful*. Their fingers are forced into the correct positions (some other grips may be comfortable, but still allow bad habits), but they don't seem to mind because the owls are so cute. It does take some time and consistency to retrain their habits so correct grip transfers to writing even without using the little owls, but it's a very helpful tool. And I have lots of students saying, "Text my parents so they know where to get owls for me to use at home!"

I bought this to keep my pencils from rolling away - and it works
I bought this particular brand because it will fit on the thicker pencils that are intended for young children to use, and which I prefer myself. These are intended to be down near the point, to help children learn to grip the pencil/pen correctly, but I push them up near the eraser, because I use them to keep the pencil from rolling off my desk or work cart. They do a great job at that. You'll always know which is your pencil/pen!

Effective pencil grip
Using this in my work with a child with fine motor delays. This pencil grip promotes a proper tripod grasp. It does require some help to position the fingers and thumb, but once in place, it is a very handy tool.

Too big for little kids learning how to write
Bought it for my grade 1 to help him learn jow to hold a pencil but its too big. Its good gor older kids with big fingers bit not for small fingers.
