We bought this clover seed out of pure lawn-related desperation. We have four dogs who treat our backyard like a racetrack, wrestling ring, and bathroom all in one. Our grass didn’t stand a chance. The media could not be loaded. Let's be honest, our lawn was looking rough. Between our five active dogs and their bathroom habits, our traditional grass just couldn't keep up. We had patchy dead spots and areas that refused to grow back, no matter what we tried. We needed a serious solution, something more resilient and beneficial for the soil. After some research, we landed on this OutsidePride White Dutch Clover seed, specifically the 10 lbs bag of nitro-coated and inoculated seeds, suitable for our Zone 7a lawn.I am genuinely impressed with the initial results! We prepped the soil lightly and seeded the most problematic areas first. I was skeptical about how quickly we'd see anything, but within just a few days, tiny green clover sprouts started popping up! It was amazing to see them already beginning to fill in those barren patches where the dogs had done their worst. The quick germination gave us a huge boost of confidence.Seeing that early success, we actually went ahead and did a second, broader seeding yesterday to help establish a thicker, more uniform clover lawn across the entire area. We can't wait to see it all come together.One of the big selling points for us, beyond just covering the patches, is clover's natural soil-enhancing ability. White Dutch Clover is a legume, and thanks to beneficial bacteria in its root nodules (which is why getting inoculated seed like this is important!), it performs nitrogen fixation. Essentially, it pulls nitrogen gas from the atmosphere – which grasses can't use directly – and converts it into a form that enriches the soil, acting like a slow-release natural fertilizer. This should mean a healthier lawn overall, potentially reducing the need for chemical fertilizers, which is great for pets and the environment.Another key factor was finding something that could withstand some wear and tear. Clover tends to be quite resilient. It springs back well after being walked on (or run on, in our dogs' case!), unlike some grasses that get easily matted or damaged. We're hopeful this will lead to a consistently greener, more robust ground cover.The Only Con: If I have to list a downside, it's simply the waiting game! Seeing those first sprouts is thrilling, but my own impatience makes me wish I could snap my fingers and see the final, lush result right now. This is a good seed bag for clover, however I was unaware that there’s not just white Dutch clover in this bag which is my fault but for anyone else; this has a handful of other plant species in here. I can’t tell if a lot of the weeds in this mix are solely from the mix or from weeds in properties around mine but I’ve been doing a lot of weeding to the planted patch. A couple notes on this species of clover; it LOVES water. That’s how you’ll get seeds to sprout and grow quickly. I can’t tell yet how drought hardy it’ll be but it for sure isn’t a fan of full day sun exposure. Where the bare spot is gets sun all day long and we’ve had days over 100 quite a bit. The clover is still growing but it’s very patchy and slow growing in those spaces. The fully planted space was planted a couple weeks before the more bare space but you can tell all the growth along the edge of the more bare patch is what’s growing best regardless with the higher amount of shade.So IMO nothing wrong with the quality of this seed mix, but know this does best with at least partial shade and there are other seeds in here that aren’t clover. I’ve included the most prevalent plant of it sprouting right with the clover as well as how it looks mature and amongst the clover. A good addition I think because it’s very tolerant of traffic. The clover itself is okay to be walked on, it’ll bounce back up and not die but it is delicate and could be torn up a lot from anything over a calm walk. I’d suggest stepping stones for frequently used paths and probably not the best for kids or pets running around.

Have bought this foe several years,. Seems to germinate well. I am happy with the product.

We have the greenest lawn in our neighborhood. The blossoms are sweet. We have an over abundance of bees, so walking barefoot is risky. It's easy enough for a child to plant. I had our 5 year old plant it, and before long I noticed bright green stripes. Lawn companies think we have a serious problem. I'd say Lucky!

These seeds were exactly what i needed. Probably 90% germination rate and still popping after several weeks. Incredibly soft to lay on with a near jelly-type feel. All but one of my partners enjoy slumbering on it with me so I'd say it's been a great success!
