So this pump is a bit of a power hog, but it us EXCELLENT if you're on a budget. I have two of them, the first one lasted me 3 years running an overhead sump on an aquarium. I cleaned it every couple of months and the thing that finally did it in? I dropped it on the concrete. Broke the impeller and the casing. Honestly it probably would have gone another 3 years if I hadn't been butterfingers mcgee about it. The inline feature works well, however you HAVE to make sure it's primed before you run it. Don't try to run it dry, because that will definitely fry it, as it will most inline pumps. Its rather large, but I think the beefy size actually lends itself to the long life of this pump. It has enough power to get water from my front porch (I have a pond out there) to the sink 50' away and 4' up to do water changes, too. All around great budget choice, especially if you're using it for water changes.

This pump just came in today and I've already hooked it up. I have two expensive canister filters where the pump failed. Instead of buying another canister filter, I bought this pump to replace the canister filter pump. I set it up in the 'inline' configuration. It is working great. So I am still using the old canister filter, but using this as the pump. A new canister filter is more than seven times more expensive than this pump. This pump is quiet and is moving the water without any problem.

I got this on October 31 2024. Today is February 6th. It burnt out I went to check on the fish and it was humming and super hot. I’m surprised it didn’t catch my house on fire. 3 months live is garbage. I will have to buy a different brand .

I think flow rate is over rated.

Works as advertised.Came with a few inlet/outlets for inline as advertised which I like. One of the outlets has an air venturi port if you desire to aerate as well. It seems to move enough water to push a 5 gallon canister without much difficulty though I would probably upgrade to the next size for that purpose. No matter I have a sponge filter to supplement.The only issue I had was finding hose to fit the fittings... I wish it came with some adapters or another size. Finding fittings in normal plumbing areas has been a challenge but this is not something that I can ding the pump for necessarily I just wish it told the sizes and qty of the outlets that are included.Overall very pleased. Good utility pump. Longevity yet to be seen.

Using it on my ( Cobalt Aquatics EXT ) Canister filter. Puts out way more GPH than original pump it came with. Works pretty good but the flow control on mine doesn't work. If it does, I can't tell the difference. For the price, its still worth it.

got this to replace a pump in an outdoor table top fountain. it works very well and makes little noise. i use it on its lowest flow setting and probably should have bought the next smallest size but it works great as is. great value in a small pump!
