Comfortable and great fit, thread issue.
Fit better than expected, and very comfortable right out of the box. Needed a new pair of Black combat boots for work, and since these are almost identical to the rough out coyote brown boots I'm used to wearing they seemed like the perfect boot for the job. They come unpolished, but nothing a little elbow grease and some Kiwi shoe polish can't fix. I'll be recommending these to all my friends and coworkers.UPDATE 07/21/2017: Two days in I noticed thread starting to unravel on the boot where the laces attach to the front near the base, I assume from the manufacturer not finishing their stitch. Not worth sending back after I polished them to a high gloss and still need to wear them at work, so I'll have them repaired. Thoroughly inspect your new boots upon receipt to ensure you don't run into the same problem. Will likely post photos at a later time.

Order Your American shoe size....
I wear size 11 in Danner Boots and 11 in Brooks running shoes. But in Wolverine Jensen's I wear a 9.5 so I suspect my actual American Shoe size is 9.5. because these are wear all day boots I ordered size 10 and they are sized the way I like. I hope that helps you with your sizing questions. I haven't worn the boots for work yet. I'll update when I do. At first glance they appear to be a "military" quality boot. When I was in the Navy we had Altama boots. These aren't as fancy as Danner Fort Lewis boots, BUT they are 1/3 the price. They have good arch support and a solid feeling sole. I bought them for working along the border so I need to wear a harder soled boot to "fight" in. I have tried many boots most cannot be worn for more than 8 hours. These boots tighten up fast the speed eyelets are great, if you pull them tight the ankle support is fabulous with this boot. These boots are pretty heavy, I don't see a weight on the box but a relative comparison they weigh less than danner Acadias but alot more than Under armours. I think these boots would be suitable for "Patrol" or "Corrections", I won't know for a weeks whether they are suitable for standing all day. But so far I am happy. Even if they aren't good for my application which literally IS standing or walking all day. I can tell right now they'd be great in other applications, would have loved them in the Navy.....

Badass looking boots.
I like the gauge of the leather they use in making these boots. The tend to run slightly large but hold your foot firmly in place which is what you should expect for a combat boot. I usually wear a size 7.5 or 8.0. I had ordered a size 7.5 and size 7.0. Size 7.0 fit me better. Shine them up military style and they look great with a uniform or jeans. Wear one leg with the pants casually tucked into the boot for a cool look. They are also surprisingly comfortable for military combat boot.

These are very high quality boots and they are TRUE ...
These are very high quality boots and they are TRUE TO SIZE for American size feet. So if you wear an 11D USA made shoe, order the 11D BOOT.I have to return these as I made the mistake of reading the sizing reviews about these boots.Made in CHINA footwear is variable in size and are made on CHINESE foot lasts, which are incorrect for American feet and I suppose this is what is leading to the inaccurate sizing reviews about the Belleville boots. These boots are USA made and are USA sized. So get your foot measured at a shoe store and then order that size for this boot.

One hell of a boot!
This pair is the second pair I bought. The first was in 2005!!! Yes I wore the boots for 15 years, yes they are my service boots (police & EMS) and the only reason I got the new ones is the old ones have VERY little tread left on them. They are comfortable right out of the box , requiring little break in. I have bought these for other officers just so they could confirm the UNBEATABLE quality of these boots.

Belleville Boots are thd Best!
I wore the 390 Desert boots for my last 10 years in the Army and found them to be very comfortable. After having a cheap pair of jungle boots recently fall apart in six months, I wanted a black leather, lightweight but study boot that I could wear in my current job. That's when I stumbled across these 390 hot weather boots. They fit the bill perfectly! Will buy another pair soon.As a side note: i always wore a 9R in every Army boot I wore in my career, but Belleville's run a little big, so I wear 8.5R and they fit perfectly.

Size matters
I wear a 10.5, and ordered an 11 thinking the socks would make a difference. They don’t. As a result my boots are a bit larger than I’d like. Read the other reviews, these boots DO fit true to size. Otherwise VERY happy with them. Recommended, just order the right size.

One star is being generous.
I typically wear size 10 in Timberland and New Balance. So I ordered a size 10. They were way too big. Returned and got a size 9. Fit was almost perfect. I noticed there was some blue dye on one boot but a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol removed it easy enough. However, within just wearing for 10 minutes the heel and ankle area has chewed my feet up badly. These boots are extremely uncomfortable. Also the stitching is crooked on the boots.
