10 Pack of Water Pillows: Cigar, Pipe Humidification

(From Gary, I use my wife's Amazon account) I was having trouble keeping my humidor above 60%. I was using the original sponge type humidifier that came with the humidor as well as an older credo sponge humidifier. I thought that if I could just "boost" the humidity a bit to get thru this dry Ohio winter, then I would be okay. I used two of these pillows in addition to what I already was using and it helped a little. After doing much research and reading countless Amazon reviews, I decided that I needed to go a different route altogether. The water pillows work great in a ziplock bag and or a small travel humidor, which is what I will use these for. But I needed something more substantial for my humidor. I ended up purchasing a Xikar crystal Humistore from Amazon. Much better. Have not had anymore issues, but I have only had this for a couple weeks. It's holding at 69%.I placed a couple of my dry cigars and a couple pillows in a ziplock bag and within about 10 days, the, cigars were rescued! Then I figured "what the heck", I put all of my cigars in the bag while I reseasoned my humidor, and it held the cigars at about 65%. The pillows worked great in a pinch, but if you have a humidor, I think you need more than these.

This is my first time purchasing water pillows on amazon as I’ve always bought them from a local shop for the last 3-4 years. I usually put 2-3 of them in my cigar humidor for 45 days before replacing them with new ones, using distilled water only. I posted 2 photos, the one on the left is a new one from a local shop and the right is from amazon. I went through probably 5 of the 10 purchase on amazon as they are not doing there job also as you see they are not absorbing the distilled water like the one on the left. I don’t know if I got a bad batch or a used batch (as amazon returns everything) but something is not right about this batch. I even applied pressure the same on each (photo with fingers) and you can see they do NOT inflate to the full size while being used. Part of me thinks the water pillows are stored in a warehouse which the temperature may play a part and activated the water pillows and they are shipped out a year or two later.

I have been using these pillows for several years now. They are tops. I have been able to reuse them for more than 8 times each pillow... or is it 10? They keep the moisture at the exact level you want. They are additive. In other words, two make like one and a half. In my case I like my cigars lower than the commercial 70%, so I use one pillow per tray. Having a Lucky 7, I get an optimum 60plus%. They are clean, no problem with fungus or strange odors. Since I travel a lot, I know that recharging them (dipping in water for 10 seconds or less) they will take care of my humidor for at least 6 weeks at a time. Enjoy.

I ordered this because of the reviews I read! I just recently took up cigars and bought a humador had no idea I needed these to keep my cigars fresh until I did a little research and came across these. They work very well and these are reusable witch is nice if you're on a budget. I will definitely buy them again and will recommend them to all my friends.

Great for my small humidors I keep around the house. Which is why I bought them. Just soak in distilled water for 15 seconds pat the excess water off and put them back in the pouch. My only complaint was when I received them there was a gel like substance all over the pouches, I assumed they would ship dry but weren't or picked some moisture somewhere. Wiped the pouches off and started using them seems ok so far.

like another reviewer, I've got too many cigars in my humidor.I noticed after the last purchase I dropped from 70% to 60%and couldn't get it back up. I have other items in my humidor.I put just one of these in and humidity ? it's back up!!has been a week and still good.I monitor weekly.just dip in distilled water and insert.
