I’m recovering from a stroke and doing lots of walking exercises in my home. I wanted to create a feature that they have at my therapy gym, a ladder shaped grid that helps me take longer, more uniform steps. I have luxury vinyl plank flooring and I thought it would tolerate tape pretty well, but I wanted something that would last without ruining the floor. I’ve only had it for a few weeks, but so far, it’s holding up well and even when cleaned with my steam floor cleaner. So far no sign of peeling off despite the fact that it’s in my hallway and gets a fair amount of foot traffic I’m very happy to have found this product and hopeful that it’s going to last for as long as I need it, and then allow me to pull it off with no residue or damage to the flooring. I would definitely recommend this product. Updating: after three months, it’s still working perfectly. No peeling, and surviving regular cleaning with a steam cleaner. It’s a great product! Inexpensive, easy to apply, and perfect for semi-permanent markings on a vinyl plank floor. I couldn’t be happier with it.

My father-in-law is staying with us and has some trouble with his eyesight. My wife was concerned that he could fall down the (hardwood) stairs in the morning due to low visibility, so she put some random tape on the floor to mark the bottom of the steps. The tape turned out to be mounting tape for picture frames and was absolutely terrible to remove from the floor. After that, I started looking for a tape meant for floors that wouldn't damage hardwood, and this fit perfectly. (Basketball courts! Why didn't I think of that before!) The yellow color has decent visibility (though something reflective might be better). But better is the fact that it is easy to put down and to take off again. The adhesion is great so far -- it's been a couple months with no sign of peeling, sliding, or tearing. The backing is rubbery, so I'm pretty confident that when it does eventually fail I'll be able to peel it off easily and replace it. I only needed to use about six feet to mark both the top and bottom of the stairs, so the roll will last a long time. And it's pretty inexpensive compared to some other specialty floor tapes I've seen on here. So, I know I have kind of an unusual use case, but this tape has worked really well so far.

Yes it’s a little wobbly. I added washer and was going to upgrade the springs from the local hardware store but they were out at the time. I took the suggestion and got wingnuts to make it easier to switch out the tape. The big caveat that had me ready to junk the whole thing, the photo shows the handle attached to the where the tape is held. Don’t do it. I attached to the rubber roller and oh so much better. It laid down great lines and just needed to be a little slower with turns. Keep in mind circles/arcs are just a bunch of tiny line segments so taping won’t be the smoothest. I also recommend starting a foot or two away to get a good start and then trim it down to size.

A must-buy for the crafty DIY tinkerer. Tough. Waterproof. Makes great labels. Doesn't get talked about as much as it should. This product has caused me to phase out duct tape. It is now part of my permanent supply materials.

I use this tape on the floor in my classroom to mark where student desks should be. It is really sticky but stays down on the ground. I had no problem peeling it up at the end of the year. I love the purple color!

Bought this to mark wiring routes that go under a plywood catwalk in attic crawlspace. Worked good at first, easy to write on with permanent marker, but began to lift and peel up after a few weeks. Probably suited more for smooth surfaces like linoleum.

I used this tape to make workout ladders on my wrestling mats. This tape sticks very well to the mats. The color is bright white and very easy to see. This much tape was a great value for the price.
