Amazing
I loved seeing the comics, whilst not Muslim I have had many encounters in the culture and there are a huge range of levels and this book makes it easy for everyone to learn something. I highly enjoyed it and found it an informative but not preachy book! Nerds rule man! She is highly relatable and can people just learn to see the person not the hijab please.

Hilarious account of a Hijabi
Ok, this isn't much of a story, and there isn't a particular flow to it. It's just a bunch of situations that highlight what it's like to be veiled Muslim and the kind of scenarios you find yourself in and the questions people ask, even when they mean well. It's a really small, brief book that could easily be read in 30 mins tops, but the reason I'm giving it 5 stars is because of how accurate every single situation Huda described was. It was so relatable, so true, so honest, and extremely hilarious! I loved her outlook on life, her positive energy, and her wonderful relationship with her husband. Coming from a family where my sisters and mom are veiled, I see them go through these situations everyday. She nailed it. She truly nailed what it feels like to be a Hijabi. Wonderful.

I liked the book, but her social media is a lot funnier
I bought it because I wanted to support an independent artist from the US. I am Muslim myself and so relate to a lot of the things Huda writes about (hello Huda and Gehad if you read this!)There were plenty of funny bits in the book, but I found some of it to be watered down. Like the infamous post on her Instagram where she finds the toaster in the middle of the room and throws it away - that is edited in the book to the Huda character taking a selfie. I don't know I wasn't a big fan of that change.I will always follow her online because her art style is funny as is her content and what she talks about generally. I am a Muslim man and can relate to some of the awkward things you encounter being a Muslim in the West.Huda - if you read this - don't stop doing what you do. I know I didn't write a super glowing review but who cares, this is just ONE opinion. You are funny as is your drawing style and the way you portray the weird people like Darius and Susan!Much love from the UK
