Tushi Pal is a fitness tracker that partners with an Organization to provide jobs to the Mayan Artisans in the Yucatan Peninsula. This is great when companies give back.I found the app extremely easy to use and set up. I did notice the unit did have to reset itself a few times over the time I have been testing it, but that hasn’t been a big drawback for me as it hasn’t skewed my data.The Tushi pal has an optical heart rate sensor, pedometer, calorie counter, sleep tracker and  vibration reminders .  The vibration reminders consist of call & message notifications, and email alerts. I turned these off since I am never too far from my phone, however, it is easy to turn them back on when you are out and about and you don’t want to be holding your phone. The app makes it extremely easy.Tushi Pal is the only wearable on the market with “Breathing Light” technology, showing you on its touch screen in what exercise stage you’re in at any time. With this Tushi Pal you can track everything from a walk to a heavy duty workout. Im working on increasing my time, and I wont shame myself by telling you what my workouts look like currently. It allows you to monitor the 5 stages of any workout with a “breathing light”. THIS is cool.The Calorie counter and pedometer uses algorithms. The pedometer algorithm has been tested considering 5 factors that influence your calories burned. One of this factors is the step count. The other 4 are: gender, weight, height and stride.This also tracks deep sleep, light sleep and awake times. This has been my favorite feature so far. Its no wonder I wake up feeling tired! I sleep the majority of my time in light sleep!The Tushi atomatically monitors heart rate every 15-60 minutes. Since I am just getting back on track with working out. I would like to see future versions of software run this feature a bit more often.The strap is inspired by traditional Maya patterns.  Tushi pal works with of hundreds of indigenous Mayans. These artisans handcraft the beautiful packaging and its GORGEOUS! Each artist proudly sign their unique handmade pieces using a unique label.

My first impression when I opened the tushi pal box was very pleasant. I am really impressed with the handmade casing it even came with a label signed personally by the artisan, wow!.The design on the straps, casing, and tracker fit together perfectly. Its seems that they did a really good job in pairing the colours of the design and the casing. I am really impressed on the quality of the case, it seems that the artisan put a lot of love in making it.I also found upon unboxing my tushi pal a fair trade insert which makes it a very unique product. It is nice to know that the product is helping indigenous communities, I feel that I am part of something important.As for the performance of the tracker itself, it has been accurate so far with the steps, calories, sleep performance and its heart rate module. The app syncs very fast and its very easy to use. I have used other trackers in the past and the tushi pal can be compared to any big brands. You get a lot of this product for its price.

It's really worth twice the amount that is being charged, it's lightweight, you don't even know it's on. The band doesn't make your wrist sweat either. Took only a few minutes to set up, and everything is working as promised. It's not waterproof that could be a drawback for some. It's great to be able to see your heart rate, and how many calories you've burned walking. I'm an older gal that walks a lot, and goes to a class aerobic class so this is a great item for me. If I find any negatives I'll update my review.

Wasn't sure about getting this tracker but I'm so glad I did, everything has been working flawlessly so far, the app is easy to use, the heart rate color circle is cool and actually useful, and the design is unique, everybody asks about it. Package is hand made which makes this a great gift as well. Thumbs up!

Complete junk! Sleep monitor and do not disturb don't work at all. No matter what time I go to sleep it won't start until 2200, then adds time after I get up even if I go for a walk it still thinks I am sleeping. Today it added 2.5 hours and went from poor to good. Didn't feel one bit better. LOL. The light is annoying at night and won't turn off with the do not disturb setting. Sure wish I hadn't wasted my money.Please don't leave that same comment you leave about too bad you weren't contacted about the problems because I emailed you a few times and followed your instructions each time and there was never any difference. Maybe I have a defective one...who knows? All I know it is a complete waste of my money and you have been absolutely no help in solving any problem I have had.

This watch is awesome! It charges super quickly. It's easy to set up, and easy to use. The design is beautiful as well. The app is a little bit behind the times but it does the job and syncs right up with Apples health app no problem.

Love the colorful band design and the idea of using indigenous Mayan workers to create the packaging. Comes beautifully packaged. The color zones for activity level are helpful as well. But buyers need to know that it takes a lot of hand strength to fasten the wristband tight enough to keep it on and that the clock has no option to switch from 24 hour readings to 12 hour readings. So unless you like translating 16:05 to 4:05 p.m. or are used to military time, it's a real pain.

The wrist band itself is well made and sleek. Looks good and easy to read. Battery life seems pretty good as well. The app for the iPhone is junk though. Very basic and not a good user experience. Until the app matches the quality of the band itself it will only be a 3 star purchase for me. Hopefully they will look to update in the future.
