Levi's Women's 512 Straight-Leg Jean

I am 5'7" and I bought these pants in regular length that is just right: not too long. They look great with high heels and look relaxed with low heels. Inseam is long enough to fit perfectly. These pants are high rise - just below the belly button - this makes them comfortable and helps avoid a "muffin" top. They do make my figure slim and keep my tummy tucked as promised. Stitching is incredible - very precise. Fabric is stretchy and quality is excellent. The black color is coal black. I read the reviews for Levi's Women's 512 Boot Cut and followed the advice to buy a size smaller than usual. This made the trick: pants fit like a glove! I did not laundry them yet but there is a tag cautioning that the dye may come off and pants must be laundered inside out with similar colors. I will add a bit of vinegar during the rinse cycle to help the color last longer. This was my first time buying pants online and I never thought I would find the best fitting pair online.

They fit fine but I can only give them 2 stars because of the fact that they have NO Pockets. The front pockets are about 1 1/2 -2inches deep. I'm sorry but just because I'm a woman doesn't mean I don't need pockets. At my job I am moving around and need pockets to keep keys and such in.Also the material. I tried to buy jeans with a high cotton content. They are thin and don't feel like the have a have much cotton and the color was off darker than shown. I haven't purchased Levi's for a long time because of the price but thought I would give them a try again because other brands of jeans the material has gotten so thin. What happened to the high quality jeans like I used to purchase from Levi's?? They were real jeans. They still make good jeans for men but not for women.

I LOVE my 512 Levis! I feel like Levi jeans has followed me through my years right on to the figure I have now at 61, and still active, I really like the stretch for doing outdoor work or walking , yet they dress up easily. The supportive panel is helpful, but not detectible visually or in lack of comfort, and the high rise waist is what I remember about jeans: I like bending over and not dealing with losing the back of my jeans; no plumber butt for me! The straight leg cut was slimming on my short 5'2"figure, and yet a perfect opening to relax over my ankle when wearing boots. I have my size, and will order more when it's time. No trying on jeans anymore! I found mine for life!

The ONLY thing I don't like about these jeans (and this is a biggie!)--the front pockets are barely two knuckles deep! I use my jeans pockets every day for important stuff.Of course I didn't know about the short pockets until the jeans arrived. What is going on with women's jeans?? I have found this with other brands, and that is precisely the reason I went back to Levis.So, rather than return them, and continue the quest for decent front pockets, I was faced with the choice of 1. paying $30 to have the pockets altered, or 2. spending 2 hours sewing pockets from an old pair into the new jeans myself. I chose to alter them myself.I realize this is a "first world problem", but very frustrating. I still plan to write to the company and complain as soon as I locate an address.

These jeans are perfect for a middle-aged woman like me... not old-lady jeans, but not the "fashionable" low-cut hip-huggin skinny jeans either! They look great and are very comfy! LOVE em!

SO happy to find high-quality, good-fitting, straight-legged jeans that don't sit on my hips! I'm not a fan of "boot-cut" or the new "low-rise" style. These sit comfortably at the waistline, without looking like "mom jeans."The only color available in my size was the Hammered Dark. I worried they'd be stiff and need a lot of breaking in, but they're quite soft denim, every bit as comfortable as pre-washed jeans. Someone asked about length - I'm 5'5" and purchased size 10. They are just very slightly long in bare feet, which is perfect. Gives them a little bit of room to shrink when washed. I don't wear heels with my jeans, so I don't like them to be too long. However, these are definitely not too short either.I have to agree with the reviewer who commented about how shallow the front pockets are. They are more than simply decorative, but not big enough to carry things. However, the pockets would be my only complaint. In fact, I'm here to buy another pair right now!

Simple design, super comfortable, not frumpy... just what I was looking for. I'm petite and the inseam was great and it fits everywhere, including the waist, really well. I think these are my new favorite everyday jeans.

Other reviewers were spot on describing the fit, feel and flattering appearance of these pants. They fit perfect before I washed them and fit perfect after being put through the ringer, actually, I put them through the washer and dryer but since washers used to have ringers when I was a girl, I thought "ringer" was more descriptive. We all know how washing pants can really change them. They were only the slightest bit more snug. Because of the stretch, they still looked perfect.These are not the old-fashioned "stretch jeans" of the 1970's where everyone could tell from the look of the fabric you were wearing stretch jeans. These look like jeans that just fit you perfect not like they were loaded with latex or something.I went back and bought 2 more pairs. Same result.
