Secret Seven Box Set: 1-15

I still have my 'Famous Five' badge - my mother and Englist teacher both hated Enid Blyton but I say anything which encourages youngsters to read is good - look at the thickness of the 'Harry Potter' books.Enid Blytons' world was a safe one - children could go alone and have adventures, unlike today. I surpose that there were peadophiles in those days but there was not the publicity or computer access then. I remember back in the sixties when we lived in Stoke on Trent, that there was a long walk between our house and the paper shop. On the way back, an HGV driver stopped to offer me a lift. I said no, as I had been taught, told my mother when I got back in but the driver was long gone. Perhaps, if I had said 'yes', I would have been victim of the Moors Murderers

My wife read these as a child (unfortunately I didn't), and she has been eagerly waiting for our daughter to be old enough to read and enjoy these too.So bought these and am reading these with my daughter now, and she loves them (and I must admit, I am really enjoying them too!).As others have noted, these books only come wrapped in plastic (does not come in a case, as others have thought based on the picture shown).For me, this wasn't an issue, as I actually prefer not to have it, because on a book shelf I don't need the extra width of a case (taking up space).

My kids have all loved The Famous Five books ( I read as a child too) I did not read Secret Seven, but felt I could not go wrong in buying these. They are enjoying them just as much so far - only on book 4 so plenty still to read. Much better deal to buy the box set, wish I had done that with Famous Five, instead of buying each one when needed - still got a couple left to get! The box set came super fast and was in great con, so well pleased!

I used to love Enid Blyton stories when I was younger. I bought this set for my daughter to read and she is really enjoying them. It was nice to buy the whole series of books in one go as I often see them for sale in shops separately with many of the sequence missing. Would recommend for a young reader as they are a timeless classic which can still be enjoyed by children today.

I doubt that people want me to critique the actual books from a story point of view so I'm just giving my opinion on the quality and construction of the set.Quality of paper and covers is good. The box looks nice and displays well.If you want Enid Blyton's complete Secret Seven then this will fit the bill!

I bought these books for my Grandson to read, as I hade enjoyed them when I was young. I am drip feeding them to him two at a time. I know he really loves them and can't wait for the next two to arrive in the post. When he has bee given them all he will get the box they came in! A really super present.

Excellent set

I bought this box set because as a boy I recalled reading a few of them and liked them. They are well worth the money and if you have children, nephews, nieces or teach, these books are easy material to use for a lesson and I have set out a few lesson plans based on the topics explored in some of these books.

Der Zustand der Bücher ist okay und für den Preis ist es auch okay. Allerdings war die Serie nicht vollständig, dafür gibt es einige Bücher doppelt im Schuber

We got the whole collection and my 10 year old son reads at least one a day. He just loves them!

My Grandchild love them

Wow, we were informed the expected deliver date would be 3 weeks out - this product arrived at our doorsteps (from Malmö, Sweden) in less than a week after ordering! Did I say "WOW"? And it was in prime shape. Prior to ordering, our son checked out the first book in the series from the local library and absolutely loved it, so we figured it was worth purchasing. My wife grew up reading Enid Blyton. Too bad she is not very well known in the US. Parents! If you want your kids to LOVE reading, get them some Enid Blyton books. They will love it!
