Lonely Planet Trekking in the Indian Himalaya (Travel Guide) Paperback – October 1, 2009

This book Help us to set our trekking plan in the Indian Himalayas ,, it's really make it easy .. even the guide think that we are experts because we know many info that we grab it from this book ... I think anyone thinking about the Indian Himalayas, this book is a must :)

This Lonely Planet book gives a great over view of the different areas in Northern Indian. I can almost picture down town New Delhi. I definitely recommend this bible for anyone visiting Northern India. It will be in my Back Pack

We are just back from two weeks trekking in Ladakh and this book was an excellent guide. The four years since its publication have seen some changes on the ground but on the whole the data is excellent and at just the adequate level of detail (in comparison to a more recent and detailed guidebook that is sometimes confusing). Its size and weight are fine for the backpack. Somehow we ended up doing exactly the recommended daily laps.

Love all LP guidebooks. Don't leave home without one.

This is a very complete guidebook on all of the major treks in the Indian Himalaya. Easy to carry around for reference during your trek. Lots of detailed maps are very helpful. There are also quite a few color photos that create the right mood during the planning period at home and serve as nice memories for those who don't take their own pics.Unlike what some reviewer have written, the book is very sturdy, stiched and very durable even if you are going to rough it a bit on your trek.

The book will give you the extra detail you need to enjoy a great trip.

Like Lonely Planet book - sometimes you have all information you need and sometimes it is not enough. You have to take this when you go to Indian Himalaya but you will also need good map or other more details guide.

Bin etwas enttäuscht.Normalerweise liebe ich Lonely Planet.habe diesen gekauft für ladakh und Zanzkar.Die Touren entsprechen nicht denen, die von den meisten Anbietern vor Ort angeboten werden, so muss man sich mühevoll die Tagesetappen aus den einzelnen Touren zusammenschreiben.keine beschreibung, dass in zanzkar gerade Straßen gebaut werden und damit Wanderwege wegfallen....mittelmäßig

Le guide couvre les parties de l'Himalaya qui se trouvent en Inde (Ladakh,Cachemire, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Darjeeling & Sikkim). Il est clair, complet et bien conçu. On y trouve tous les détails nécessaires à la préparation de son voyage et au choix du circuit. Il comprend des cartes, qui certes ne remplacent pas une carte traditionnelle, mais qui permettent de situer la randonnée. Pour chaque région différents treks sont proposés et décrits au jour le jour. L'ouvrage est suffisamment récent pour que les indications soitent encore valables. L'anglais est accessible.

di tutte le guide che ho trovato sul trekking in india questa è di sicuro la migliore ,l'unico neo e che la EDT non si è ancora decisa a tradurla in italiano.
