I truly enjoy trivia about authors
I truly enjoy trivia about authors. Many times the author's story is just as interesting as the book he or she writes. This little book is loaded with lots of tidbits about many of the authors you and I have grown up with in literature. It is categorized in an interesting way. I think if you like writers you will enjoy reading these stories about many of their likes, dislikes, and in sometimes strange ideas. It is also an easy read which can be read a few pages at a time or the whole book in one sitting.

Wonderful read!
As a fan of classic literature, I absolutely loved this book. It had so many interesting stories and facts about my favorite authors and books. I also learned about some great new (to me) authors and their works. There are wonderful quotes from the authors in here that are hilarious! I know I will reread this book over and over again. It also makes a great gift for other literature lovers.

I want to read other books in the series and hope they are as good
A most pleasing romp through literary trivia throughout history. I've read a lot of literary trivia, but this book didn't just cover the same old ground again -- there was a great deal of stuff here that I'd never seen or heard of before. And the book covers not only historical authors (Shakespeare, Mark Twain) but modern, still-living, still-writing authors (James Patterson, J.K. Rowling). I highly recommend.

Great for Teaching!
I bought this to use as a part of my daily lesson plans. This is a great resource for helping to get junior high and high school language arts students in literature. There are quotes from great authors as well as interesting things you may or may not have wanted to know about your favorite writers.
