Round Toilet Seat w/Chromed Metal Hinges, Wood, White

Smoothly finished, bright white wooden seat. Can be noisy if released even two inches from bowl; would recommend an automatic slow-closer for quiet and convenience.

I have been through 3 name brand seats (coukohlergh) and they have all broken just as the warranty is over or even on the day of the warranty ending, which is only a single year. The moment I picked this one up, it seems sturdier, heavier, durable. Only time will truly tell but I am sure this will hold up.This one has 4 bumpers on the bottom of the seat and 2 bumpers on the lid. Name brands only have 2 bumpers on the seat. I think that is a key point.IF any of this proves untrue, I will update my review to let you know.

I worried for over two hours about self-installing a new toilet seat when the original one (builder grade plastic) broke at the hinge. NO NEED!After unscrewing the broken toilet seat and disposing of it, the instructions for this Topseat seat were clear, mostly pictures, but clearly understandable. Ten minutes later I had a fully installed WOOD toilet seat with METAL hinges that is secure, feels substantial compared to the original and with no shift or wiggle room. This is a well made, well finished product that has a nice sheen, fits PERFECTLY and is unbelievably easy to install. I really like it! Don't waste money on a higher priced item, this is perfect!

This is a sturdy toilet seat that appears to be well-built and has a large enough opening to comfortably fit all of the manly bits. The finish is a nice glossy white that feels very smooth and almost glass-like. There are four elongated rubber pads/feet attached to the bottom of the seat to help with weight distribution; this will help to prevent the seat from cracking if you plop down too hard on it in a half-drunken stupor (not that I've done that, mind you, I'm just sayin'.. really!) Both the seat and the lid stay up just fine when raised in my installation.The seat that I received from my initial order developed some corrosion on the chromed hinges within a few weeks of installation in the bathroom, this got worse over the following weeks until bits of the chrome started to flake off. I contacted the manufacturer and received a very quick and reassuring response both here in the comments and via email; they are shipping out a replacement seat which should fix the issue with the corrosion. I've "tweaked" the review a bit to reflect this and will update the review in several weeks (ish) to report on the new seat. I'm very impressed with the level of customer support.

This is an exceptionally excellent toilet seat. very fine and high quality paint, shape, and appearance. You'd be surprised how it is comfortable to sit on. I highly recommend this one.

very bright white. finish looks solid. nice looking. Can't say how sturdy it is as it has had much use, but appears to be sturdy. no slippage. for me not as comfortable as my old seat.

Within one week of the item being installed, as I was cleaning the seat I noticed a crack on the underside of the seat and bubbling next to it due to the opening as you can see in the pictures. This was a well-maintained seat which got damaged within a week. Horrible construction, returning asap. I just hope to God they don't make me return this item, which will prove that they reuse and refinish used items. Will keep everyone updated as soon as I get in touch with Amazon CS.Edit: Amazon wanted me to return it, but they redirected my call to a TopSeat representative who assured me that they don't sanitize and resell used products. They allowed me to keep the damaged one, and I just received the new one. Installation was as easy as before, and so far so good. No damage, seems sturdier than the first one I received which was probably just defective. Will keep everyone updated if I encounter any problems at all. Good work from both Amazon CS and TopSeat CS.

This looks quite nice, once installed, but the installation had issues. Here is the problem: The seat has four supports that sit on the lip of your toilet. In order for the hinged pieces to mount flush on the toilet, the plane of your toilet rim must be the same as the surface of your toilet where the hinges are mounted. Although I have a standard 10 year old toilet, it was not made that way. The section where the hinges mount is recessed about 1/8 of an inch lower than the rim, so when I tightened hinges the toilet seat elevated. Not good. It took two 30 mile round trips to the hardware store to get the correct spacers. The manufacturer could have included them for pennies.
