Horrible
The microphone picked up every single sound in the background including my very quiet AC that my last mic didnt you might as well buy a new headset. I picked up the steel series Artics 5 which was amazing.

Not sure what is up with the low reviews ... This headset works great so far.
I just received this headset in the mail and tried it out all day today. Here are my initial impressions (they may be subject to change)!1. The headset actually does fit well into the Bose QC25. It could be a little flush fit to the headset but so far its fine (no accidental rotation per another reviewer).2. There is definitely a sound difference between using the headset and just using the phone's internal microphone (OnePlus Android phone).3. The headset eliminates most (a lot of) background noise. There is a very noticeable difference over using the phone's microphone. While I have not tried it in a busy starbucks or driving in my car ... right now, I imagine there would be a big difference there as well.Overall, I'm happy with the purchase ... Looking forward to updating this review in the future.Quick update: I tested this while driving in my car. It worked great especially considering my car is rather noisy. I also tested this while walking outside along a noisy street with lots of traffic. In both cases the person on the other end of the phone call said they couldn't even tell I was in my car or next to a busy street. Nice!

Good but not at all noise cancelling
This is the second one I purchased it’s nicer than the first however while it claims to be noise canceling it’s not at all , people can hear outside noise when I’m talking I hope that it truly would’ve been noise canceling so that when I’m in a loud airplane or an airport people will not hear the background noise sadly it doesn’t do that overall however in a quiet place it’s excellent

Disappointing audio quality
It's a clever design, but marred by poor execution. The boom is far too long, making it difficult to put the microphone in proper position. No matter what position I tried, it was picking up horrible popped p's and other plosives. It also picked up a lot of breathing noise and background noise from movement and rubbing against things. I think the braided cable worsens the effect of rubbing against your shirt. In comparison recordings, I got better audio from the original in-line QC25 mic, especially when holding the in-line mic in a good position near my mouth but not in front of it, which was nearly impossible with this mic due to the overly long boom.

Almost perfect...
This mic works pretty much as advertised, just don't expect total blocking. It does eliminate a majority of the noise but not all. Given the price vs a $1000 aircraft mic, that in it of itself is enough to buy the mic. But for one flaw, I would give it 5 stars. The problem is with the way it plugs into the QF 25. The connector has a rubber portion that is contoured to match QF 25 body when plugged in. Unfortunately, the plug doesn't fully seat the rubber portion and ends up not making contact with the body. This allows the boom to swivel around and the mic distance from your mouth will keep changing if you move your head. I ended up putting a cut piece of furniture felt (the kind you stick onto the bottom of furniture legs keep them from scratching the floor) to make up the difference and it now stays put.One other note... I do have a problem connecting directly to a MacBook Pro (150-inch 2016, Mojave OS) but I think it is an Apple problem vs a problem with this mic. The mic is not always recognized by the Mac. I plug it into my Android phone (Galaxy S9+) and works every time. I did find a workaround for this problem...1. First, get an extension cable (I got a 3ft cable originally just for convenience). Note: This following doesn't appear to work without the extension.2. Open the System Preferences | Sound tab. With the extension cable plugged in, plug in the original Bose cable. Wait until the system recognizes the "External Microphone" in the list. Very important! There should be a checkbox under the Input level indicator for, "Use ambient noise reduction". If it is not present you'll have to:2a. Unplug the extension2b. Wait for "Internal Microphone" to appear with the checkbox2c. Then plug the extension back in3. Provided the "External Microphone" and checkbox are present, you can now replace the Bose cable with the mic and all will be golden.4. You can test the mic by tapping the mic and seeing the Input level jump.Note: Doesn't matter if the checkbox is checked or not. I was unable to discern if it made any difference.Note: Also doesn't matter if the QC 25 is attached to either cable. The mic seems to continue to work as long as it stays plugged in. If you unplug it, you'll have to do this procedure again.Summing up, great mic for my very noisy office. People have asked, "is anyone else in the office today"?

Works great for 45 days, then doesn't work at all!
Product was awesome for 45 days, worked great with no issues. Now it seems the cord has a short and needs to be squeezed in a certain place to make the sound work. Disappointed as the quality seems good but internals must have faults. This product was for the QC25s

I've Been Waiting for This
Working from home is not all fun. My Bose headset is so comfortable, but the inline microphone isn't powerful enough. This little device is perfect! Super-clear sound. I'm used to aviation headsets (with the mic right up against the mouth), but I had to move the mic away and down to my chin. It's powerful! And convenient. And it helps my work from home job. Thank you!

Very Disappointed
This replacement unit (for the one that arrived with a damaged volume control) has such low volume on both headset and mic as to be unusable. What has happened to quality control? I had a Clearmic years ago for my QC15 and that worked fine. I'm unwilling to try for a 3rd time and be disappointed again...and have to return yet another unit. I will find another solution.Would I recommend this product to anyone? NO.

This is worse than the original inline mic and not suitable for use on PS as described.
The mic is sold as "Clearmic", it is anything but this. I bought this to have clearer audio conversations with my QC25 headphones but in every instance a loud static buzzing noise can be heard on the receiving end of the call even when the mic sens is set to 10%. It is twice the price of a replacement original Bose branded in line mic and is no where near the same audio quality despite being on a boom. It is not compatible with PS. The buzzing noise is not apparent on the original in line mic. I purchased this to make my voice more easily heard, clearer, and have a more comfortable experience while using my preferred bose headset on calls. This took a week to arrive and, coupled with the extremely poor quality, was a waste of time as I has to replace it immediately. If this had cost me a quarter of the price I would still feel like I had been misled and ripped off. The packaging and description is misleading; it is not compatible with the products listed, it is not clear, and its not my headset buddy, friend!

Build quality couldve been better!
The cord was very stiff upon opening. The microphone housing was loose where it wraps around the boom mic. I opened it up and noticed that there was no adhesive holding the mic & wires. In my 1-2 minutes of opening up and fiddling with the mic the wires inside became twisted. I fixed the issue by grabbing my hot glue gun and adding some the the inside of the mic housing. The fitment to the headset isnt perfect either, but it works.

Working well untill...
Worked really well until... I use it for work to make calls but sometimes the person on the other line says I'm very quiet on the phone.Slightly disappointed that this happened after 2 weeks use. Otherwise great device. How do I get a replacement Amazon?First Amazon purchase also!

Good nose cancelling
Works well. Way better than the original mic. I use it to take calls on a busy train.
