There is nothing special about this padding press. The lazy susan that the press rotates on is not smooth. The wood used is of poor quality. The clamps are not very good, the handles are vertical only making them hard to turn. The wood provided for use under the clamps is weak and not very rigid. I should have never purchased this $79.00 (actual value) press for $209.00. Overall, just not worth the money.

This item was defective and was given the run around. They don't return their calls and offer no help. I just threw this thing out! Buyer beware. They don't make good on their product. Don't waste your money.

I have used this piece of equipment several times daily for 5 years. We create NCR forms for a hospital, with a monthly volume of about 70,000 sheets, and this has held up well over the years.The reason we have to replace is the handscrews. You tighten these down on the paper to ensure you get a good bind. The handscrews have stripped out from top to bottom. I don't consider this a negative, though, and we've already got the exact model ordered as a replacement. Highly recommended for low to medium volume print shops.
