ABBA: The Official Photo Book: 600 Rare, Classic, and Unseen Photographs Telling the Complete Story

I just got my copy ... Of course, as a hardcore ABBA fan, it's awesome ... As promised, this Official Photo Book includes heaps of rare photos and some familiar ones. Of course, no 'Official Photo Book' can depict the true ABBA story without the inclusion of some iconic familiar photos... This book is sized like an LP vinyl album jacket ... albeit weighing over six pounds! The book quality is as one would expect from an ABBA endorsed 'Official Photo Book' - paper quality, printing, color separation, book binding and dust jacket are all worthy of the title 'ABBA "The Official Photo Book". This is essentially a Photo Book with notes ... so it epitomizes the description 'coffee table book' ... beautiful eye catching photos with minimal text that might distract from the relaxing mood of browsing a photo book. I especially like the Foreword from the ABBA members and their replica autographs at the beginning of the book ... It's almost like buying an autographed memorabilia item from all members of the group with ... of course, the $avings! :)) This ABBA collector's book is money well spent. This book along with ABBA Live At Wembley Arena [2CD Deluxe Edition Book ] would now complete my ABBA collection ... unless of course, ABBA releases all new material. Hey I am allowed to dream! :) I just wanted to share some photos of this supersized coffee table book weighing over six pounds! Lots of fun pictures! If you love ABBA you will love this book!

This is a beautifully produced book - very large and weighs a ton - that is full of rare photos. Covering the group's prehistory before ABBA was formed (each member had already enjoyed teen success in solo careers and/or as members of other groups), the book is chronological in nature and features informative and detailed text that accompany the photos. The photos are remarkable, of high quality and capture the group in every phase of their remarkable career. The only drawback is that the book is so big and heavy, it is difficult to look at comfortably.

Marvelous book covering every aspect of Bjorn, Agnetha, Anni-Frid and Benny! I got so much information out of this book, that I feel much closer to the band now. You get a bunch of details regarding their careers before ABBA. Agnetha was already a big star in Sweden with hits, singles and albums charting. Benny and Bjorn rocking the folk out in their bands Hep Stars and The Hootenanny Singers respectively. And Frida getting her first job in the music business at the age of 13! But the main focus are, of course those 10 phenomenal years (1972-82) where ABBA wrote pop history! Wonderful pictures with a lot of insights and plenty of off stage moments too. There is even space for some nice and deserved close-ups on the backing band (guitarist Janne Schaffer and drummer Ola Brunkert) and production team. Nostalgia punches are guaranteed while paging through this heavy and beautiful book. It is a shame that everything has to end. Time for Arrival and to press the START button! Here we go again...

This is one big thick book that covers the bands career, each a section of the band members, the photos are fantastic, covering some of the hits, Waterloo etc. Great photos. Many of us grew up with Abba and still love their music. This book is great memory of a different era with great music

This book does contain many interesting and otherwise unavailable photos of the group; but just as important, has facts, comments from them, and insights that are not available elsewhere. The text will give you a different view of these intelligent, articulate people. Be prepared for the fact that the book is physically heavy.

I knew when I bought this book that it was used. It was in Very Good condition as described. It was a gift for my Dad and he was thrilled! Thank you 😊

An amazing complete biography authorized by the group. Honored to have it, love it. It was gift I gave to myself for my 50th. A must have for any ABBA fan. Photos I have never seen before. I recently went to Stockholm to visit the museum and this was for me a way to remember that trip and how much I love them. Great gift for anyone and even yourself.

There is only this BOOK! I didn't expect. It seemed that it is impossible to surprise as saw already so many books for the last years 20 - 25. On the contrary! SURPRISED! ! ! The picture on the 185th page "finished" me. Here I simply fell from a sofa. Never it was necessary to see other option at the helicopter of 1976. Picture on a tab to a plate where all participants face helicopter. On Soviet, Bulgarian and the French plates this picture on a cover. And so, I always thought what after all there are other pictures from this place. Photographer of Ola Lager. And here AT LAST saw other option! As on page 347 other option from a series in Kronenberg's art gallery, that that in Skansen. "Visitors" cover. Didn't do and without oversights. On page 209 in the bottom right corner a picture of the small size. In the plane on the way to Poland in 1976. Frida and Benny, Stig and Polish TV reporter. The signature to a picture says that with Stig his wife Gudrun. It not it. It was pleasant as about us didn't forget. About the USSR. On one of turns where covers of plates let out in the different countries are placed there is among other a "Krugozor" magazine cover for August, 1978. Also the flexible plate of blue color is represented. Trifle, and it is pleasant! Other covers of disks of giants as it is accepted to call at that time the long-playing disks, left in the USSR aren't present. Apparently there was no place and opportunity to consider all editions leaving in the different countries. At the end of the book among other pictures (page 376:1) from premieres "Mamma Mia! An excellent large format hard cover book reminiscent of “The Beatles anthology.” Hundreds of full color as well as black and white photos many I had never seen before; all with explanatory body copy and captions tracing the history of all four members of ABBA from their humble beginnings up until 2013. I must for any ABBA fan!
