Even the most durable and expensive car batteries have an expiration date and will fail. If you are lucky, you may have some notice or indication or if not, it may fail all at once and the failure be entirely unexpected. Mine did just that, failed without notice. So, it is midday and I'm all dressed up and no way to go; one of those situations that would make a preacher cuss. Nobody would be home for at least four hours and every person I knew who could jump my battery was at work, also for at least another four hours. My roadside assistance coverage would come to my house, but that would also entail hours of waiting. I was fuming at the inconvenience and at the fact my battery was dead. (but in all fairness, it had surpassed its promised 60-month warranty). So I made the determination then and there I wasn't going to be unprepared again. I phoned ahead for a new battery to be installed that afternoon and I got on Amazon to see what solutions could be found should this ever happen again. Came across this battery pack that jump-starts dead batteries and after reading the reviews ordered one right away. Soon after it arrived I had the chance to put it to the test when my other vehicle refused to start. I had just parked it and returned to no power. This time I had plenty of people home in case the battery pack didn't work. But it did work and it started that vehicle with the dead battery right up. As it turns out, I had a failing alternator that wasn't charging the battery but the fact remains that the power pack did as advertised. I keep it with me now so I will be prepared for my own emergencies and can also possibly offer quick assistance to some other motorist facing a dead battery who has limited to no options. I have found that as long as the car hasn't been sitting with a dead battery for months on end, there is an excellent chance this little power pack will save the day and soon have you back on the road. Buy it and if you ever hear just a "click" instead of your engine roaring to life, you will know you have it covered. That peace of mind is well worth the price several times over.

The unit holds a charge for a few months, I left it in my car and it was almost fully charged when I went to charge it. I used it once on my Toyota Tundra when the battery went dead. It worked well. I think this unit is a little under powered for a V-8 though. I think this unit will work better for a 4-6 cylinder car. I recommend a more powerful unit, the next step up for trucks. Although it worked for me, but it completely drained the power in this unit after using it once to start my truck, and if I needed a second charge, it may not have worked.

I bought this for my Ford after having a one off battery issue and I needed my neighbor to jump start my car. I called my husband when it wouldn't start and I realized my husbands Tesla couldn't even jump start my car, so It was time to purchase a portable jump starter! It charged up nicely and I put it in my car where it patiently waited to be used for the first time!3 weeks later, my husband used my car with a group of buddies to go to a concert and when it let out it was madhouse traffic. So they waited in the car listening to music waiting for the lots to clear when after about 10 minutes, my car shut down. Everyone panicked and my husband wasn't sure if I put my new jump starter in the car! Sure enough it was there and it worked like a charm! He said it was super easy to use and everyone in the group is probably going to go buy one now! We are so thankful for this purchase! Its a must for every car owner!!!UPDATE: we were at the drive in last night and this guys trucks Battery died. We were asked if we had jumper cables but we had the batter pack! It probably hadn't been charged in 7-8 months and displayed 3 bars, but when we hooked it up to the battery it drained down to nothing. We took the charger cables and plugged into my car for 15 minutes and then went over to their car again to try to see if that was enough juice to jump it, and sure enough, the car started! I was so surprised that it was able to jump a car on 15 minutes of charging while we were at the drive in.

So, got this on amazon prime day ($56) and already used it once for family. Not on them - for them.Came with 3 of 4 lights charged.When using it, I forgot initially to turn it "on" since the red and black coupling read a charge right away on the display - making me think it was on. I had one of these jump start batteries in my old car, but I accidentally left it inside the car when I sold it. So, I bought this one (it was the cheapest that looked kind of decent).My new car is all messed up, its battery keeps dying. It wouldn't even start the very next day after driving it home from the dealership; I just thought that the dealership didn't charge the battery. Anyway, the battery dies after every trip. This went on for a week; until I brought the car into the dealership (turns out to be a bad battery).Why am I mentioning this?
