No problem its very good stuff make sure the surface after using it is wet then compact and smooth off

It sets using heat so I’d run your engine on idle for about 5 - 10 mins first then you should be ok.

Q: Should this be applied to a warm/hot exhaust or a cold one?

Hi, your better cleaning area from dirt n grease then warm up exhaust not to hot as you will be applying paste with your fingers. Yes warm it up. If you put it in cold, the air leak can push a hole in the paste before heat cures it thus pointless. Again clean and warm it up. Hope this helps
