Upgraded 2200W 220V to 110V Converter for European Travel, Voltage Converter US to Europe for Hair Dryer Straightener Curling Iron, 2300W Power with USB Ports for Tablet Camera Cell Phone

I do a lot of international travel and I always bring an adapter and converter with me. The DOACE converter and adapter is small but powerful. It’s so easy to pack, and comes with an easy to store pouch. I can use it on all of my devices: iPad, iPhone, blow dryer, and hot iron. It works great for use with power sources in UK, Europe and Asia—the places I’m using it for. First of all, it's not only for travel use, as it has a standard American power supply and can accommodate 3 standard plugs plus 4 USB charged devices. Since the number of USB charged devices in our household has multiplied over the years, this alone makes the DOACE a great asset. Secondly, when you do need to travel, this single device should accommodate most of your equipment. I must say that the explanatory product photos on the Amazon product page are very well done, and answer very well which kinds of devices need voltage conversion and which don't. Much to my surprise, most of the typical chargeable devices like laptops, electric shavers, toothbrushes, tablets, phones, etc, don't need voltage conversion, and can just charge off the USB ports or with the two blank white adapter outlets on this box. For the remaining few items that need conversion to American voltage, the outlet that is helpfully labeled with the American flag will always supply American voltage in any country. So this outlet alone converts voltage. The blank outlets will match the voltage supplied by whichever country you're in. Blow dryers, electric kettles, and other items requiring the American voltage should be plugged into the flag outlet. Finally pls don't hesitate you can buy one have a try .

Update 10/10/2020 ------------------------- Do NOT count on their warranty, it is USELESS. They do NOT stand by it, not only that, but they are terrible at communication. it's great when it works, but if it falls, No warranty !!! Pros:- 1- Looks and feel that it was very well built, and of good quality material, not cheaply made 2- It stays relatively cool (unlike other adaptors), even when left plugged for extended period of times , and uses no fans, so no noise 3- The American flag is printed on the converter side, so it act as a constant reminder as to what is converter and what it not and just act as a plug adaptor (doesn't convert current) 4- I like the USB for faster charge of your small electronics at the same time, rather than using a separate charger, so when on the go, this can replace multiple charger, different ones for iPhone, iPad, android phones etc, which is a big plus 5- comes complete with 3 plug adaptor, which makes it really versatile and universal for using almost anywhere where you need to convert the 220-240 to 110 current or even use the adaptor side with universal voltage electronics 6- Nice Hard protective travel case - although this doesn't come from all sellers, as my first one came only with a less protective travel mesh in a small nice cartoon box, but without the hard case. The confusing thing, that both sellers have the unit for exactly the same price, just slightly different photos, which was very hard to pick up on, till I came to order me second one, and this when I realized that I amassing the hard case. I contacted both sellers. Do Tech confirmed that theirs comes with the advertised hard case, and Gugule, confirmed that theirs sells only with the travel pouch, but when I asked Gugule customer service, if they can help by sending me a free case for my first order, rather than returning it and re-ordering it from the other seller. Abby from customer service, went out of her way, and contacted the other seller, which turned out to be another subsidiary from the same company, and they promised to send me another hard case for free, which they did, and that made me very happy and the nice gesture from both sellers were much appreciated Cons - or rather wishes for future improvement 1- it would be nice to have it as universal step UP/ step DOWN converter than one can take anywhere in teh world, in the same small size factor/ beautiful design 2- Although the converter side of the unit comes clearly marked with the American flag, I still can see myself plugging a 110 electronic in the wrong, plug adaptor, non converter side, ruining whatever I am trying to plug, as it can easily be done, specially when the plug adaptor is already built in, so it won't make you stop for second to rethink what you are doing, if that adaptor wasn't built in, so I would suggest adding clear wording or a stop sign in red on that sign indicating that, that side of teh unit is NOT a converter and it is to be used only by either for 110 volts machines on the same voltage, 220 Volts on the same voltage, or by a universal voltage electronics - as for me, for the time being and for my purposes, and since all I need is the step down function, I ended up putting a red post it note and taped it over, to cover the 2 plug adaptor sides, sa to act as constant reminder and hopefully help me remember not to burn another trimmer adaptor, as I already did that twice before ( NOT with the adaptor) I hope this review will be found helpful for everyone. Thanks Abby from Gugule and Thanks Do Tech customer service for your courtesy and professionalism, but I wish you standardize the unit with the hard case for everyone, which make sense, to protect the unit, which is meant be useful during travels

I stressed over our trip to France and Italy b/c I didn't know how I would straighten my hair with my expensive elchim hair dryer and chi flat iron. 3rd world problems . . . I know, lol. Years ago, I had gone to Australia with a converter and tried using my curling iron and dryer. The curling iron never heated up, only gave a low buzzing sound and I threw it away after that for safety reasons. The dryer only worked for 5 minutes then would over heat. So my biggest worry now had a flat iron thrown into the mix. Since this was tested with a babyliss, I went out and bought the babyliss hair dryer. I plugged it in at the hotel in Italy and held my breath as I turned it on . . . . and it worked like a champ! Yes, it worked like normal. Same power and everything. I also bought a cheap flat iron from TJMaxx that was dual voltage. I was too afraid to risk my chi flat iron. The flat iron brand was "Exclusive" and I used it in this converter and it heated up just like it normally does at home. The bonus I love about this converter is the 4 ports for phone charging. They usually only come with 1 or 2 phone ports, but this had 4 ports. I will probably buy a 2nd converter when we take our 2 boys to Europe this summer since they will be in a separate room and will need to charge their phones. The other nice thing is the extension cord. Believe me it makes a difference when you have a big brick converter plugged directly into the wall, it never stays in. We were able to leave the converter on the nightstand and easily use the ports for phone charging while surfing on our phones at bedtime. So pleased we got this, I highly recommend!

Voltage converter was defective and it burnt my driller recharger. The output voltage was at 180V instead of 100-120V (as you can see in the picture)
