Roden 332 Model Kit Lockheed C-5M Super Galaxy

Having built this amazing plane in real life; working at Lockheed Martin Georgia plant back in the eighties. It was a joy to build this model. It is very detailed with a lot of parts; hope you have as much fun building yours .

Nothing wrong with the model itself. Not as much detail as I would like, especially from a 1/144 scale kit costing $100. I like the kit but it is not worth the price tag. I know model kits (I have around 1,000 kits) and this one pales in comparison to the highly detailed and expensive kits in this price range from Trumpeter, Hasegawa, Academy, upper end Revell, and Tamiya kits (not even close). However, since hardly anybody makes this cargo plane they (manufacturer) can pretty much charge anything they want. Definitely some gouging going on by Roden. None of their kits are great but they do have a niche with their products since most other companies produce the more common kits as opposed to hard to find models. I knew going in that there was a chance the Roden kit would be of mediocre quality but with the heavy price tag I hoped this kit would have been a step up in accuracy and quality. It wasn’t. However I need this kit for a diorama I am making so I have to choke down the gouging three times the actual value of the kit price. Thanks Roden. One of these day Roden may actually produce a high quality, good value kit, but not today.

Hubby was thrilled to receive this kit for Christmas. It was packaged well and arrived quickly!
