I love my 23 year old car car and needed to make this simple and cheap upgrade to bring it into the 21st century.The good of this backup camera set: A+ quality. The mirror is of extremely good quality. I forgot it was a mirror with an embedded LCD screen. When the LCD screen is off, you cannot see it. You only see the mirror, which is as good as any mirror in any car. The video feed to the mirror is A+. One can see very clear what is on the back, plus the red, yellow and green marks on the LCD are helpful. Once you figure out what to do, the installation is simple. I was quoted $250 by a local guy to do the installation, which I saved by doing it myself in 1 1/2 hours. An A+ backup camera capability to any vehicle for $30 is an extremely good deal!Need improvement: The installation instructions are poorly written and confusing. It is better to look at the chart they have on Amazon in the product description. No need to connect to the rear gear, as the instructions mistakenly and confusingly suggest. Plus finding a rear gear wire is quite a task for most cars. Connecting only to the backup/rear light will do, which is far more simpler, as the rear/backup wire can be easily found in the trunk. Also, the instructions confusingly suggests to connect the power to the ignition, which opens the question, which part of the ignition, 12 V continous power, which would drain the battery, or only power after the engine is on? I connected the power to 12 V continous power and so far it does not appear to drain the battery as the mirror is off even when the engine is on, unless the rear gear is selected. Also, not in the installation manual, you might want to add the fuses listed in the specs.Overall, I am quite happy with this $30 upgrade, which brought my car into the 21st century with a relatively simple DYI.April 2019 Update: The camera failed the 1st time I brought my car to the car washer. The product description lists a one year warantee. However, no where it says how to contact the vendor. I posted a question for him to send me a replacement camera and he did not answer it. As he did not honor the one year warantee in the description, I am lowering my rating to 3, as I just had to purchase another camera.

I did the full Installation just to find out it doesn't work. I plugged it in to Mt reverse light and it doesn't turn on.

I bought this kit because my rear view mirror screen stopped working. I had bought this kit like 4 yrs ago. Upon replacing the rear view mirror, the screen it come with is super dim even at max brightness. This is definitely not the quality I am use to. Definitely don't recommend.

Works just fine and easy to install if you know how to works on cars. Only down side screen is a bit off, every time I want to back up I have to tilt down the mirror (daytime only) to make the screen more visible. But for the price I can't complaint.

Nice it looks nicer than I was expecting. Looks like it belongs there. you have to look hard to see that is not a factory mirror. 50 years in the body shop business I think this part is okay

Nice addition added to 2010 car purchased for new 16 year old driver. Can't see the screen in the daylight very well but definitely worth $30 bucks!
