Unbelievably good
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I learned about Bistro while watching a cooking video by Derek Sarno. He said it was “good stuff.” His word is enough for me so I ordered it. Sure enough, it’s fantastic. What a great blend of herbs. Finally, an excellent vegetarian/vegan gravy solution. Do wish it was a bit thicker, but I can’t always find live with it. I use it not just for gravy, but for flavoring dishes or sauces. Just a pinch adds an amazing depth of flavor. You could probably use it for soup, too; I haven’t tried. It’s nearly drinkable.

Delish and easy!
I love this gravy mix. The granules mix well into hot water and thicken quickly. It’s great to see Bisto gravy in the US. Perfect for a Sunday dinner, toad in the hole or on poutine!

Unusual but good
I made this gravy twice and didn't use it because it smelled like water jello, I made it a third time and just tasted it on some mashed potatoes and it was absolutely fine. Moral of the story don't smell it just eat it. It mixes up very easily and has an unusual opacity due to the thickener being potato starch, but it is very similar to the regular gravy viscosity. When they say to use heaping teaspoons they mean it, don't skimp. Overall I am pleased and would purchase again.

Easy to use instant gravy
I wanted mashed potatoes and gravy, but needed gravy that wasn't made from something I don't eat. Mainly cows. You boil some water and add a couple heaping teaspoons of the pellets, stir for a bit, and it turns into a decent gravy. Then pour over your mashed potatoes. I love it when I find a new product that I can add to my eating rotation.

I keep several flavors on hand & feel funny when we run low
I heat one cup of unsalted vegetable broth in the microwave and stir in couple teaspoons of Bisto gravy granules which creates a rich, smooth, flavorful gravy. It goes great on mashed potatoes, Swedish meatballs, home fries, veggie meatballs . . . you may notice a pattern here! I love gravy on meatballs and potatoes :) It's so good no one will know you didn't make it from scratch. Be sure to add the gravy granules to really hot broth or it won't dissolve or it won't thicken properly. I use store bought unsalted broth or stock and it's never been too salty. This is a time saver and it's really delicious. People that don't like it . . . try other flavors and remember to use super hot unsalted broth instead of water. It makes all the difference. Yes, I know how to make gravy from scratch but this makes perfect gravy in 3 minutes flat without turning on the stove. Win-win.
