Musiclily Guitar Back Plate Tremolo Cavity Cover Backplate for China Made Squier Guitar Parts, 4Ply Pearl Black

This back cover completes my guitar project. Thank you Musiclily for awesome guitar parts.

The media could not be loaded.  It’s pretty good, first time buying a backing plate so didn’t know what to expect. Product is good quality and so are the screws it came with but I had a problem with the screw hole placement. I have 3 holes that did not match with the ones on my guitar. I don’t think this is because of that plate but I’d say it’s my guitar screw holes that are not measured correctly. I did get this guitar for free and it may have been the original owner who messed with the screw hole placement. But nevertheless a great product and good quality.

I was very pleased to see that the holes lined up perfectly on a guitar made 16 years or so ago! And screws were included! The colors were close enuf to the front for my application - you can't see both sides at once, anyway! :-) The colors are very rich. The only thing I'd improve would be a beveled edge - it's cut square.

Worked great as a finishing touch to a reworked Squire Strat I love having.

Others have noted that this back plate’s holes do not match their guitar’s holes. But with slowly increasing the diameter of each hole on the plate - I used a small diameter tapered reamer - you can align the holes on the guitar’s body. Reasonably priced and it looks great. An added bonus is that the back plate comes with screws and protective plastic that easily peels off when you are finished installing.

It's an OK cover plate. It's a 3-ply, but you really have to look to see it. Other than that, it seems to be well made and it fit well. It came with screws but wish they were black to match the cover.

It's a descent product. It's a piece of plastic with holes. A traditional stratocaster tremolo cover plate should be beveled since they are surface mounted. If you dont file or bevel this, it will tear up your clothes. They skipped this step just to save mone. I'd rather have a part that is ready to go and not have to work on it when it arrives.

The edges are not filed to an angle like shown in the product photo, and some of the screws are flat while the rest are round. It doesn’t even fit on my 2005 American professional Stratocaster.

After trying three other Back Plates and returning them for a refund , I found this one , absolutely perfect in every detail , size , hole diameter , countersinking . Don't go what I went through , this is the one that fits and looks perfect . .

Makes the rear of the guitar the same 3 ply pick guard used on front face.Regards Keith Riley

Really solidly built and, more importantly, it fits! Very pleased.

The product is of reasonable quality made from a tough plastic with a nice finish. The width, length and depth were accurate with the dilled holes were a very close fit, but countersunk a bit too deep. Not perfect but reasonably good.

Metal back plate fits perfect. Finally can get rid of the cheap plastic one that came with my guitar.
