Edit: three (out of the 12 I bought) are now not working. I am upset now especially considering how much I spent on these. I really wanted to love them. But after a few weeks, they are not working. I have tried different batteries and even tried to see if bulbs from other lights will help. The cheap battery ones I had for years work better even though they are not as bright. Don’t bother with these. You will just be throwing money away.Love them, although two out of the 12 I bought stopped working after two weeks. I have tried to change the batteries, but still not working. However, I love how bright they are compared to other battery window lights I have owned. The timer function works great as well. I am not sure why two of them stopped working so I can’t give five stars. But love them otherwise.

Great quality and beautiful window lights for the holidays. Warm glow, which is the perfect color. Unfortunately, two bulbs were broken ( I guess from shipping and packaging) and I had to order replacement bulbs quickly. I had a hard time figuring out how to contact the manufacturer to have them replace the two broken bulbs so I just reordered a pack of four.After 30 days in the windows, the lights are starting to dim. I hope that is because of the batteries and am thinking about putting all new batteries in the candlesticks to have them last for another month of winter. Would that be the batteries or the bulb? I have received so many compliments; I bought wo sets for my mom's house. I love that they are adjustable and that you can make the candles taller. I'll definitely use them for the next several years and will definitely take the batteries out before storing them for next year's use. I had my whole family help screw the light bulb on each at the same time (because of the timer) so that they would all come on at the same time. Six hours is perfect!

We've just put up 28 candles in our windows this evening and they look terrific from the street. You can clearly see them from a good distance down the road and we're very pleased with the overall appearance. The ambient lighting inside each room is a very nice feature. The adjustable height is also a bonus as we can place them on the window sills or higher up on the ledge of our colonial style windows and clear the mullions at either height. We had no trouble setting them up and since we have so many that we want to light up at the same time we prepare ahead of time by placing all the batteries in the candles with the bulbs partially screwed on. We place half of the candles on each side of our table and then working quickly together, facing each other, my husband and I tighten the bulbs to light each candle at the time we've chosen. We can then place them in the windows at our leisure and they will go off 6 hours later and come on again at the same time every day. We also like that we can order replacement bulbs in the future.

Overall, I like these candles. However, the product documentation states that these candles are not intended for children, and I can see why. I'm an adult who was handling these carefully, but I still cut my finger on one of the metal bases. I recommend wearing gloves when handling the metal base, and make sure small children cannot reach these. Some of the metal base edges are razor sharp.

After much, much research we purchased 12 window candles in November of 2019. We loved them but we needed a couple of different bulbs and one candle wouldn't work. They replaced all no questions asked. This year one candle failed and we determined the inside was slightly melted. I emailed customer service on Friday, New Years Eve figuring they would see it on Monday .I received an email on Saturday saying they had redesigned the inside of the candles and they would send 12 new ones and one spare. The candles arrived on Monday. This would be outstanding service any day but on a holiday weekend? AMAZING!!! Vermont 612 is a one in a million company! Would purchase anything from them as they will stand behind it 100%.

These candles are beautiful and very high quality. I purchased 12 of them in November 2019: 8 with the base, and 4 with a suction cup for windows that were too short for the candles with the bases (I attached them horizontally to some upper windows). I put them up on November 8th. No issues with any of the bulbs or timers. I loved the two-sided bulbs ... bright white light could be seen from the road, and the dimmer side gave a nice light inside the house. The first set of batteries started to dim around December 10th ... so I got the 1-month battery life as advertised. I put another set of batteries in on December 10th, and I just now took them down for the season (January 15) ... the batteries had started to dim around January 12th ... again, one-month battery life. I used Duracell Procell AA batteries, which can be purchased in bulk (48 pack - which was actually two 24-packs) on Amazon ... currently listed at about $23, though I paid about $27. Not bad for two months and 12 candles - about $1 per candle per month.VERY happy with these candles!

These lights are for windows in my house that do not have AC outlets close by. They work very well. I like that the bases are metal, like my AC lights. they are heavy and substantial and I don't worry about them being knocked from the window sills easily. I have only been using them less than a month, and have not had to replace the batteries yet. The double sided bulbs are nice; I can choose to display the bright side or the less-bright side to the outside of the house. The timer feature is nice and works well. The rest of my AC lights are on constantly, and these 4 lights just come on around dusk and stay on past midnight. works for me. i recommend.
