Very nice...better than others I've had in this price range
Over the past few years I've purchased three other small scales to weigh small quantities of hops and other things for home brewing. I've found that there's a wide range of quality and reliability. One scale seemed very accurate but it drained the batteries even though it was turned off. One scale read ok for a while and then decided it preferred to display any numbers it felt like. One scale wouldn't display the same weight for the same object if I weighed it multiple times, so I never trusted it.This scale is easy to use. The display is easy to read. I like the 3 decimal places for OZ measurements and the 2 decimal places for grams. The case it comes in seems to be durable and the included calibration weight is a great bonus. The tare function works perfectly. It respond well to very small changes in weight without being too fussy. Repeated weighing of the same object returns the same weight every time. The included batteries are junk, but that's true of every battery that comes with a Chinese-made product. Now, I've only had it for a few days, so I can't comment on the long term reliability but it seems like a solid product.Would I buy it again? Yes, assuming it continues to perform as it is performing now.

Died just after warranty. EDIT: see below NOT DEAD
I really liked it. Calibration easy, doesn't drift. But it started shorting out, the battery connection was off and on causing it to turn off and on with the slightest touch. Eventually fried itself.EDIT: Lucky, I didnt throw it away. I took another look at it and determined the short was due to something near where the batteries (2 AAA's) connect. Don't know how, but it's working fine now, I even knocked it around a little to see if it would disconnect again. It's just fine now!In the mean time I purchased a replacement from a competitor. Wow, makes me appreciate this one even more now. It had a removable cover, unlike this one that is attached by a hinge. I had to keep looking for the cover. Also, the auto shut-off on this unit is 5 mins, the competition was 3. That's important because (as I found out the hard way) if you use the Tare function (it zeros out the weight of item that is a container), the display will shut off and it looses the reading. If you didn't memorize it or write it down, it's gone. I was mixing liquids by weight, and turned my back for just over 2 mins and it went blank. This unit has a 5 minutes before it blanks. Also both units come with a calibration weight. This unit's is 50 grams and seats inside the unit. The competition I purchased uses a 100 gram weight that was separate from the unit due to its size.So after using a replacement scale from a different seller, seeing the better product by far was this one, and the fact it started working, I'm changing to 5 Stars,

This really is a good scale, but you must remove the protective cards before using.
I bought this scale to carry with me while out metal detecting because of the outer shell. I won`t take my Digiweigh scale with me, for fear of dropping and damaging it. Plus there were so many good reviews. When I received it, I had some trouble with it working correctly and after following the instructions to calibrate it several times, it still wouldn`t work. I had pulled the protective card out from under the platform, quite by accident, when I first opened the scale. (There is no mention of this card any where in the instruction sheet or on the scale itself.)I went back to Amazon to read the reviews again, and found that quite a few others had the same problems I was experiencing. I was ready to start a return immediately, but figured I would try it one more time. When I opened the scale again, I noticed that there was something else sticking out from the back side of the platform. I pulled out and removed another two protective cards and realized that, that was the problem. When I tried the scale again, not only did it work correctly, but after using a calibration set of 1, 2, 5, 10 and 20 gram weights, as well as the 50 gram weight that comes with it, I found it was accurate. Without having to calibrate it.Would I recommend this scale to a friend? Of course I would. It`s a great scale that is easy to use and easy to read. If you purchase this scale, just remember to remove the three protective cards from under the platform before you attempt to use it.

Good but imperfect product, great service
I bought this scale for precise measurements - between 0.1-0.3g. Unfortunately despite multiple tests and calibrations, the scale was a bit too finicky for what I need it for - it would wobble between 0.19 and 0.26g for a 0.25g sample piece of paper. However I'd still like to shout out the sellers because they were extremely kind and prompt in handling the issue. I was really appreciative of this and it made me feel comfortable with ever buying from them in the future.Bottom line - for very, very precise measurements, this scale isn't perfect. However it was fully accurate for heavier stuff (anything above a gram at least, based on my tests) so if that's what you need - or if you don't mind a very slight margin-of-erroe for lighter stuff - this is still a good scale, easy to use, sleek and a solid price.
