Product description Fall - 50000 Fall Fans Can't Be Wrong - Double CD .co.uk 50,000 Fall Fans Can't Be Wrong stands as an introduction to the long and frequently brilliant career of the Fall. It's also the first career-spanning collection in the band's 25-year history. Beginning with 1978's "Repetition"--B-side of their first single, "Bingo-Master's Break-Out", and something of a Fall manifesto--and ending with "Green Eyed Loco-Man"--itself the opening to 2003's return to form, Country on the Click--these 39 tracks provide a suitably messy summary of the past quarter of a century of Mark E Smith's single-minded take on rock & roll. While this album isn't necessarily a must for diehard fans (who'll probably already own most of the material here, and may well spend hours grumbling over its inclusions and omissions), they still might find it handy to have the nebulous works collated conveniently on two comprehensive discs. For Smith-virgins, however, as a way into the usually wonderful and sometimes frightening world of the Fall, it can't be bettered. For this reason, 50,000 Fall Fans Can't Be Wrong is a worthy purchase for anyone wondering what John Peel's been on about all these years. --Marc Bloomfield

I discovered The Fall in my fifties!
Really blown away by this album. I couldn't stop listening to it and I'm surprised I didn't wear it out in the first few days! Some of the songs are unique and unlike any I've ever heard before; Hit The North is now in my top 5 records of all time. Check the video for it out for it on YouTube and you will be transported immediately to the early 1980s. I'm so so glad I bought this CD.....

My Head Hurts Brian!
"Bumble" Lloyd is to blame, but it is true..... 50,000 Fall fans cannot be wrong. Not every one's cup of tea, but a terrific anthology of the genre!

The Fall, I recommended.
Good introduction to The Fall, plenty more gems to unearth on one of their numerous albums. They are an acquired taste, but one day I got it! Now I can't get enough, Mark E Smith, genius! Thumping bass lines and catchy tunes.

Really good collection from a vast back catalogue
I have plenty of Fall albums on vynil which I rarely listen to now so got this collection which is great. However a few of my favourites are missing (Lay of the Land, Australians in Europe, Bingo Master's Breakout, etc) but with such a huge output you can't have everything. This is a great introduction to one of the best bands ever!
