This book is prefect for anyone who has never owned Finches. Great details!

As a novice finch owner I found this book to be very helpful. It provides a thorough basic coverage of the care, feeding and breeding of finches . It also has a good section on the various types of finch likely to be available as pets and provides specific feeding and care requirements as needed for each type.

The book presents an overall review of many types of finches, often including very exotic ones that you might never find available for sale, but left out one fo the most common type of finches that is available just about everywhere. Other than the specific types of finces, the basic information is good and applies to most, if not all, finches. It certainly is a book that will give you a good idea about keeping finches as pets. If, however, you need info on a specific type of finch (such as Society Finches which were not included here), you might want to make sure that info is in the book before you purchase it.

Hand books are needful if you take breeding seriously and any added information is valuable this is a good book

Excellent book--I had this years ago and lost it, was thrilled to find it again. It is a nice comprehensive book with plenty of information with colour pictures, of many finches, including some rare ones. I'll finish reviewing this after I finish reading it--but it isn't a 75 page junk book--it's packed with information, illustrations and lovely photos.Has a comprehensive index and chapters.
