Global 8" Chef Knife with Global MinoSharp 2 Stage Sharpener

The late great Anthony Bourdain was right - this knife is all you will really need for most of your kitchen tasks. Very sharp, well balanced, lightweight, and easy to grip, it replaced an aging Henckels set that had seen its best days. So instead of 4 different knives, we have the one on the mag strip near the sink for easy access. I look forward to it serving us for many years.Thanks, Anthony.

Just got it out of the box and diced an overripe tomato. This knife is amazing - like no other I’ve used. I was debating buying Global or Henkel. This knife leaves Henkel in the dirt.

I read about this knife in one of Anthony Bourdain’s books as being his favorite knife. I thought why not give it a try. I have a drawer full of expensive top named knives. This is my favorite knife. It is sharp, maintains its sharpness. It has good weight and feel in the hand. I am at the point of getting rid of all the other knives because I never use them anymore.

This knife is extremely sharp. It even cut my dish when I tried to dry at the first time.

Knife is seriously sharp and sharpener works great - my entire drawer of previously dull knives are now sharp. Chef's knife is perfectly balanced and easy to use. Just a warning - I nearly took off the tip of my thumb when drying it off - I wasn't being cautious as I was prepping for Thanksgiving and in a rush. Just a warning! Otherwise, since that time I have used the knife daily and love it.

If you get the Knife sharpener combo just throw the sharpener out. Please you will thank me later. get a diamond plate to keep your knives sharp. all that thing will do is tear it up. the knife is amazing, you really can't beat the quality for the price

These are the best knives. Hands down. They cleanly and easily slice through tomatoes, raw meat, etc and make cooking a joy again! We registered for a set of high end Wustoff knives that quickly dulled (despite sharpening and honing) and have replaced them all with these Global knives! Get the sharpening tool too- keeps them nice and sharp!
