Great replacement option for regular dyes
I enjoy these as a replacement of regular color dyes. The bottle sizes are about average, and value is fair for money. After all, anything better for us is going to be twice the price. When used for baking the colors run lighter, if you want a darker color then more drops will have to be added. Overall, happy this is an option for colorful desserts.

Worked perfect for our cookies and cake! Thankful this is an option 🙂
We limit the amount of dyes our kids consume so this year while doing our Christmas sugar cookies we decided to try these no artificial colors food coloring and it was much better then expected! They made the cookies taste better in my opinion and looked so adorable all while not having to worry about feeding the kiddos junk! The kids loved using them to decorate their very own cookies they were able to mix their own even super easy! 🥰 We used some of the food coloring to a cake to add some red and it baked really well didn’t make a difference the red was a little hard to get to a dark color but other then that they are great! Everything from the full good sized bottles, easy to use, nicely sealed to the beautiful colors on our cookies was wonderful, We really appreciate these being an option at good quality and a great price!

Great alternative, but VERY different coloring
I was looking for a better alternative to the regular food dye in the stores and came across this. I knew ahead of time that the colors were very light, so I’m okay with it. But if you are looking for bright, vibrant color, this is not the product for you!

Say Goodbye to Toxic Dyes!
I’ve been trying to cut out artificial dyes in my baking, so I picked up this Watkins Assorted Food Coloring set. If you're used to the neon, hyper-pigmented artificial drops, these are a bit different to work with since they’re derived from things like beet juice and turmeric. The blue and yellow are surprisingly vibrant right out of the bottle, but you definitely have to manage your expectations if you're trying to get a deep, "fire engine" red for frosting. My biggest hurdle was the red—initially, it came out looking very much like a pale pink. I almost gave up on it, but I tried adding a little bit of lemon juice to the mix. It actually helped shift the pH and deepened the color into a much richer magenta/deep pink, which got it significantly closer to a true red. It’s a great little hack if you're struggling with the beet-based pigment looking too pastel. Just be aware that because these are natural, they won't give you that aggressive "super red" without some tweaking or using a lot of the bottle. One thing I really appreciate is that there is no weird aftertaste, which is a common problem with artificial red dyes. The bottles are small (0.3 oz), but a little goes a long way for lighter pastels or egg dyeing. If you're doing a heavy batch of buttercream, you might find yourself using most of a single bottle. Overall, it’s a solid 4-star product—I love the clean ingredients, you just have to be willing to experiment a bit to get the exact shades you want.

A fabulous dye free option!
We have used these for every holiday, and birthday party! While you have to use a little bit more because they are all natural and don’t stick as well as the artificial dyes, they are well worth it! I don’t have to worry about my kiddos, ingesting chemicals, and the colors are vibrant and welcoming!

Great in Theory, But it Doesn't Work
I love that these dyes are natural! I just wish they worked better. You could easily use half a bottle of dye and still have a very pale color. I tried making orange by combining the red and yellow today, and after using what felt like an excessive amount of the dye, I ended up with a pretty drab beige color for my frosting. What's extra weird is that after sitting for a few hours that drab beige turned into almost fluorescent yellow (I think because of the turmeric?). I was aiming for pumpkin orange, so this was not ideal... I would not recommend these dyes. However, if you're super desperate and absolutely not willing to use regular food dyes...I guess give them a shot? Just prepare to use excessive amounts to receive any type of actual color...

Great dye free dye!!!❤️💙💛💚
These dyes work great!! And are an awesome alternative to using real dye, and its alot healthier to use aswell. If you use alot they give off a taste just like anything would. Overall, they work great!!!

Color Pigment Is Great & Buildable
Love that these are dye free food coloring. I used these to dye some cake frosting for my daughter’s 1st birthday cake. The color pigment is great & buildable and knowing it was dye free gave me peace of mind for my little one to consume. Would recommend this to any momma’s worried about dye-free products (and to anyone in general)!

This is good I wish they would put the colour mixtures on the back of the box. I had to google it when I was mixing the colours. It’s a little expensive aswell. My son wanted to make slime and I wasn’t going to the grocery store just to get the stuff to make slime. I didn’t find there was a flavour to it either. They are easy to use as long as you are using just the one colour and not mixing them together. I found the yellow was super thick aswell and almost seemed like jelly.

I'm excited to try this stuff out. Hopefully it's as bright as the color that spilt all over the box. When I got it, yellow was everywhere... and it's not eligible for re place ment or re turn.
