Dress is better quality than expected. I only had the hoop skirt and not Pannier skirt. To make due, I sewed the front to back of the skirt to make it wide instead of round. Would have been better with the proper underskirt, but it worked well. No stretch at all. The side zipper is under the arm and is far too small/delicate for material and is easy to get stuck. Zip slowly. I ordered the purple one and it's beautiful. I'm 5'1" and large breasted, it was too long for me (as expected) and the dress layed a little funky in the back. Not a deal breaker. Would be perfect (with a skirt) for anyone over 5'4". I enjoy sewing costumes/dresses and didn't have the time to make this one. I was very pleased with this purchase. It's beautiful.

True to size, lots of compliments, great fabric quality, and details! Bit warm specially for Florida weather, but truly so pretty!

I am 5'5 and 155 pounds. I ordered a medium and large and the medium fit best for me. I have slightly wide shoulders. The underskirt isn't fully the taffeta fabric, they saved some money and used a white cotton under the top layer. I decided not to choose this dress because I didn't love the color on me. The color was as pictured and the bows look nice.

This dress is amazing, but there are a few things I was unhappy with. First, it fit a bit looser I was hoping for but it’s better than being too tight. I remember there’s a custom button but I was worried it would take to long to ship. I bought this dress for my ballet recital, I am dressing up as a “mademoiselle” or basically a Marie Antoinette knock off and needed a rococo inspired gown. I purchased a separate hip enhancer petticoat cage thing and found that it’s not enough to give the dress volume so I also had to purchase another long petticoat for the extra layers.This dress is LONG and if that’s what you’re going for, cool, but I’m going to have to hem it. I will also have to take in the waist and the arms, but I’m worried when I take in the waist the zipper won’t work as well, as it already is tough to close near where the bodice portion and the bottom of the gown meet.The fabrics takes well to a steamer, it doesn’t melt, but I am being careful not to hover too long but there will be WRINKLES when it arrives from being folded up so tightly.The front pleated panels aren’t attached to the innermost layer, there are two layers to the skirt, the panels are pinned on one side to the outer skirt. The lace on the arms are soft, doesn’t itch, and the bodice is so nice but I need structure underneath so my boobs will stay up and give that nice, flat, authentic rococo look.The color is beautiful but isn’t as true as the photo, atleast not in all lighting. In the sun it looks more of a rosy pink color and I had bought all these purple accessories to match the hue from the picture, but they won’t be near the color to match, more of a compliment. I’m some lighting and in the dark it looks purple like the photo.Such a beautiful dress and I can’t wait to get it to fit me and be able to dance in it without tripping.

This an absolutely gorgeous gown. I don’t call it a costume because I’ve gotten costumes before and those are cheap material and just disappointing. This dress does NOT disappoint. The fabric is stunning. It shimmers in the light. The dress is lined. It is very heavy like a gown. I love everything about it—except how it fits me. I’m 5’5” 145 with small shoulder and legs butI have a big waist of 32 inches. I ordered the large bc I was worried about not being able to zip it at the waist. It’s always my problem area. This dress has plenty of room everywhere. I’ve tried pinning the sides, the bodice, and the shoulders but it’s just doesn’t look good with all those changes. It’s because the dress is so beautifully made. It’s made to be the size it is! I would recommend this dress over and over to anyone who would listen to me. I can’t say enough about it. If you are deciding between two sizes I would order both and return the one that doesn’t fit. Because once you see this dress you WILL want to wear it!! Also. (Order the undergarment pannier. It’s a must to have the hips. Although it’s very princessy on its own.)

I love love love this dress. I used a steamer to get the wrinkles out from shipping and it's so beautiful, I feel like I picked it right out of an 18th century queens closet! I can't wait to wear it to multiple Costume parties!

Asked for my measurements but the dress came completely wrongly sized. I am a medium sized dress and the size that came was fitting like a 2XL. Even the arms where huge, like they started with a 2XL size and then didn’t alter correctly. It was also way too long even if I put the petticoat cage in. I told them my height. It looked like it came direct from China. There was Chinese handwriting on the bag. Also, although the fabric looked better being turned inside out satin, it was a little bit like cheating to make the fabric look more expensive. It worked and did make the material appear more expensive, but I noted it appeared to be inside out satin material. I don’t like satin for costumes because I feel satin looks cheap. But it was turned inside out so it wasn’t shiny. I would really like the dress for a costume party but not sure if I would risk trying to buy it again since it’s a third party seller and not Amazon prime. They did cover the cost of the return since they messed up the measurements but it wasn’t super easy communication. I had to call Amazon to message them and nobody ever called me to talk in person about it.

Beautifully made gown, true to size, light and easy to move around in all night. Petticoat and corset required, shape wear in lieu of corset will work as well. Recommend ironing prior to wearing.
