Pow Wow has expanded to a big Wow!
170 pages made me suspicious. Could this have been a book that covers everything about STRAIGHT ARROW? You betch'um! The author was responsible for a newsletter called "Pow-Wow" published for fifteen years. This led to the book I am reviewing with cover art drawn by Jim Scancarelli, artist/writer of "Gasoline Alley."There are biographies on the actors who played the leads, the sound men responsible for bringing the series to life and an essay correcting the errors that have appeared in previously published encyclopedias. Other chapters cover the premiums, merchandise, novels, board games and comics. The radio log includes all episode numbers, script titles, airdates and cast list (who played who). While the cover of the book refers to this as the definitive log, it is not. There are no plot decriptions at all and since the cast lists came from the script covers of the scripts (I have a few original scripts so I know), the only thing lacking are the plots. I would have enjoyed reading the adventures even if they were in small paragaph form.Still, this is about as good as it is going to get with little room for improvement. Well worth the price and kudos to Bear Manor Media for publishing a book that might otherwise have faded away like the "Pow-Wow" newsletter.

Excellent
This is a small book but will tell you everything you wanted to know about Straight Arrow. It gives you some personal background info which I found entertaining.
