Spyderco Mantra 3 Fantastic Everyday Carry Knife
Great Spyderco craftsmanship from Taichung Taiwan. Features include flipper, G10 with stainless interline, light weight, and liner lock. Excellent value.

Great flipper!
Great flipper! It is very good for daily cutting tasks, quick and easy blade deployment. I would prefer a larger handle for my large hands. Also more steel and scales options would be great to see!

Quality knife but not for me
I really wanted to love this knife: I love flipper knives and add to it spyderco quality?! I was excited! Unfortunately, I returned it for the following reasons:1. Inconsistent flipper tab (civivi does amazing flipper knives) so didn’t always flip open. No grooves on the flipper tab either. (Pic A)2. Slippery grip3. When closing the compression lock the flipper tab hits my finger preventing the blade from closing properly (Pic D) so the knife stays open.4. I have medium size hands but I could only get 3 finger grip so it didn’t give a solid feeling (Pic C)5. Lack of finger choil on the blade and poor ego design didn’t give that “extension of your hand” experience that a spyderco normally gives and felt that’s a dangerous design. (Pic B)Is this a good quality and well made knife? YES!But the combination of so so ergonomics and unsatisfactory design elements make not functionally efficient and fun so this a pass for me. My suggestion:try the para 3 instead!

Hubby likes it, but both damaged a bit
Bought this for the Hubby for Christmas. The first one was damaged a bit with a small chunk out of the blade. The replacement was also damaged, but a bit less. Surprising as he uses Spyderco knives often, and has several. Easy to flip once you get used to the design.

Spyderco Mantra
Light and comfortable to carry anywhere. The flipper is a little weak but that's because it's not an assisted open. The Spydie Flick is still the easiest way of opening for me. This knife is very much like a fidget tool to me with the many different options to open. I carry this knife every day.

Love this spyderco knife
Has a flipper. Has a spyder hole. Has a compression lock. Has some carbon fiber. Full flat grind. Deep carry pocket clip.Has everything I want in a knife.Bonus things are.Is is lightweight. Super sharp. Fun to play with.It has room for improvement though.Detent is weak so had to drill hole a bit wider so ball goes in deeper to provide more force for flipping action. "Flick!"Flipper tab can hit your finger when closing knife with compression button. May have to shave off the corner of that flipper tab...

Blade HQ...
Trying to figure out why this knife I got from blade HQ was different from the one I had bought from another company about a month or two before hand...the blade came scratched which I was not pleased about...and this knife handled much differently than the previous one...the issues many had with this knife had to do with the way the detent worked for the flipper, saying it was weak, and that when the blade closed that it was semi possible for the blade to still hit your finger and maybe give ya a knick on ur finger, cause I doubt spyderco fixed that issue within a month...just don’t understand why two knives purchased a month or two apart were so different and why a “brand new” knife came scratched...be careful if blade HQ

Dangereux
Dangereux !
