This thing is SAVAGE!
I own several species of parrots and during the warm weather months, small, grey seed moths are a continuous problem in my home. I have owned several models of "bug zapping" swatters over the years and absolutely NONE compare to the Ostad Premium 2800 Volt Electric Fly Swatter. It is the only swatter that I have used that explodes 90% of the moths on contact and kills 100% of the time. The current flow is so strong that "organic matter" continues to sizzle and pop until it flakes away from the electric wires of the swatter. The other swatters I have owned pale in comparison to this product and I highly recommend it.

Works well, but prepare for the jump scares
This product, as far as I've been able to tell, does what it's designed to do. It kills bugs.I got this because another reviewer wrote of the noise as 'Zzzap' or some such.I had a fruit fly problem, and limited options due to having a broken leg. I got this device to 'mop up' the flies my other option might have missed.I stopped using it after the first night. NOT because the device doesn't work. Dear sweet baby chocolate, it absolutely works. It's just hard for me to wave this electrocutioner around knowing that every fly it hits will make an insanely loud ZAP or maybe POP sound. it freaked me out for the 3 flies it killed. I wouldn't have minded a Zzzzap.I would have LOVED a Zzzzap. I wouldn't have minded the extra time.Instead, I got POP! I almost dropped the darn thing the first time it happened. By the third time, I was waving the thing wildly, my free hand pointed to the sky and held in front of my face like a shield as I wildly waved it around (there weren't THAT many flies around by this point, I was just cringing from the noise). It has since gone out with the garbage. I'm not saying the device is garbage. Just be prepared for a really really loud and sudden noise, like a mini firecracker, at least if it touches a fruit fly. Also, I was so afraid to touch the metal wires that the way I was waving it was frankly a little sissy. Between not wanting to touch the wires and the insanely loud noise this thing makes when it kills a bug, I went back to my original solution plus trying to clap the bastards in my palm. The flies suck. But they are wayyyyyy less stressful than using this thing. Sadists, your mileage may vary.

This Thing WORKS!
We love to sit out in the evening, but lately because we have had inordinate amounts of rain, mosquitoes have been ruining that experience. For the price of this swatter, I thought we should give it a try.Last evening, we zapped at least 20 of the nasty little buggers. Each one is accompanied by a very satisfying "ZZAAAP" and a little blue spark, letting you know you got 'em. Even if they land on you, you just set the plastic edge of the "racquet" about 6 inches away from them and drag it towards them and when they jump up to fly away.... "ZZAAAP," gone! This is much more successful than trying to swat them by hand alone, and I can easily wipe them out of the air if they fly by. This is the first one of these I have ever tried, and I think it works just great. There is a "large" sized on on Amazon too, but I think it actually might be a little unwieldy. This one seems to be just the right size to easily maneuver around when you are slouched in a patio chair. Now, I just have to practice my backhand!

exelent electric fly swatter
This is easily the best electric fly swatter I have ever used to get rid of an invasion of small flies in my house.(They are approximate the same size as fruit flies).Other larger spaced multilevel swatters I have tried don't work since the small flies in most cases pass right through the swatter without being zapped. This swatter design is single level with tightly spaced wires that the small flies are unable to pass through without being zapped. It is also powerful enough to zap several flies simultaneously .The only draw back is that you will zap yourself if you are not careful keeping your fingers away from the charged wires. For this reason it is not suitable for young kids to use.(The multilevel swatter design make it difficult for anyone to touch the charged levels)This swatter is also light weight and easy to use.At this time it is too soon to say how long lasting / durable it will be.

Far SUPERIOR
Let me just say, i DEPEND on bug zappers this time of year. With wasps, masses of HUGE carpenter bees, flies up the wazoo, you name it, i got it. I have a different brand zapper in EVERY part of the house and i needed a new one. I ordered this particular one because of the design of "single" wires (not encased wires). Let me tell you, it makes ALL the difference! I LOVE THIS RACQUET and now I wish ALL my zappers were like this. If it can kill CARPENTER BEES in ONE swat, that's all you need to know! P. S. I'm buying another one today!

STOP THE ANNOYANCE
You just want to sit outside and get some fresh air. Have a drink, sit by the pool, and you have a cloud of mosquitoes around you. I killed 2 dozen in about 4 minutes, and had a rather peaceful evening out with a few stragglers here and there. Kind of satisfying when you see a large one coming at you and you nail it with a good backhand. Just wait a few seconds to flick it off, or you’ll get zapped too.

Never worked!
I ordered these in January to take down to our place in the Virgin Islands - unfortunately couldn't get there until now (May 2019) and put batteries into each and neither works. The housing for the batteries is poorly made and cheap and the batteries don't make contact - the light, for a moment, flickers then dead - they do not activate. I see no option to return these on my Orders page on Amazon so assume that means I have to lose the $ spent on these.... Don't buy, they are garbage.

This is a GREAT fly swatter!
I live in a fly infested city during the summer! After reading the great reviews, I purchased this product! It came the day after I ordered it, which is great! After installing the batteries, my 2 boys were taking turns swinging it and killing numerous flies with each swing! Lots of little pops! So satisfying, and so helpful for killing flies! This is a great product, and is highly recommended!
