This is a great hose, it looks just like my old one but, this one has a spring style core. That’s one thing my old didn’t have. and, that may not seem important. But, these generally like to kink. And where that kink happens, it will keep happening. Until one year, it breaks right there. That’s what happened to the old one. This having that sling inside there, gives it a nice skeletal structure, so it can’t kink. That also means it will last many years longer, than my last one did. You treat them with care, they will last a lifetime. I’m more than happy, with this purchase. Great product, great price. I got it for a diesel tank, at a salvage yard. I have no doubt, it will continue working for years to come.

Very durable

I use a transfer pump to fuel my construction equipment, and the original hose was getting weather checked and frayed. It was a 12' hose, and getting large tractors close to the fuel source was sometimes a challenge in a tight yard. I replaced the original hose (from 2017) with this one and it fit nicely, does not kink or bind, and all seals are tight. This hose makes fueling my equipment so much better, and if I can get 8 years out of this one (like the original) i will be a very happy user.

Because this hose was so much more resonably priced as compared to others I had looked at, I was concerned that I just might end up with junk and have wasted my time. (With Amazon you don't worry about having wasted money since they will take care of you if it isn't right!) :-) This is an excellent quality hose. I do believe the GoodYear brand of hose is a tad bit heavier, but this is perfect for most uses, and fits my personal fuel pump hose needs exactly. I have a 100 gallon tank and a 12vdc GasBoy pump..... this is just what I needed! By getting the 20' hose and not a 10 or 12 footer, you do not have to get so close, and it makes the whole process more relaxed and easy to do. You can spend more, and get a heavier possibly a bit more HD application hose, but it will cost you double for about 20% more duty strength: I sure didn't need that. Fill-Rite makes some good products and this certainly is one of them, so buy with confidence. Enjoy!

Just what the headline says. I'm on my third hose. The first one lasted about 3 years before developing a leak, the second one lasted just shy of 2 years. I can't complain much because they're so inexpensive.

is what was described. I ordered a little less epensive one to begin with, sent it back, it was junk, kinked and flimsy.. I have to remember to keep with oem!! the right one was the right choice!!!

UPDATE! Manufacturer's customer service was awesome, they sent me a new hose which was much softer and more pliable than the one it replaced. They also sent me a shipping label to return my original one. Apparently there may have been a troubled batch... it happens. Its a bad situation, but it happens. I'm happy, readjust rating to 5 stars. Their customer service says it all! Original Post: The end wasn't properly crimped onto the hose. The hose just didn't appear to be in the brass end all the way when I got it, but I foolishly did not send it back. After only about 1 use per month (thats about 4 uses since purchase!) the end suddenly and very unexpectedly came off a portion of the hose, running a small split up the hose at the brass connecting end. First spraying fuel then less than a second later gushing it all over me, soaking through my clothes, my cell phones, my wallet, my car, my neighbor's car and both of our houses for about a 15ft radius from where I was standing. My neighbor is a smoker, and is almost always outside having his nicotine fix, its a lucky thing the wind wasn't blowing that direction... this could have killed me and my neighbors, destroyed our properly or severely harmed me with burns over my ENTIRE BODY had there have been a fire due to being completely soaked through. I am going to contact the manufacture and see what they wish to do about this, will post with updates.
