Give a wonderful, old-fashioned glow. Use very little power, yet are surprisingly bright. I tend to use all lights as adding atmosphere, not kitchen style daylight, brilliant illumination. These go great in chandeliers, but in my mind they work for everything else too. Particularly bedroom table lights, where you don't want the burning shock of a brilliant light in the dark winter. I have loads of them, and not one has failed yet. This is an expensive way to buy them, but if you only want two then not too bad, I suppose. Recommended.

I chose the soft light bulbs for a bedroom lamp. & they give a nice relaxing glow. There are so many different light bulb fittings make sure you order the right one.

I had a battery powered storm lamp that had ceased to be and I wanted to bring it back to life. I removed the broken innards and fitted a spare lamp cord up the inside. I wanted it to have a olde worlde feel. The colour of these bulbs have a cosy glow and fitted perfectly up it’s hole. The lantern lives on!

Needed to replace a bulb my husband bought in town for £1 with a rating of E. I was looking for a very low light for a lamp of a nighttime nothing too bright and this ticks the boxes. It has a energy rating of A+ so I am a little less worried now about keeping it for a long while. I can’t comment on the longevity as only just bought the bulbs but I am hoping it lasts as long as it says on the box. Good value for a pack of 2.

Previously bought low wattage white led bulbs for bedside table which were far too bright and have been disposed of. The Paul Russells are more gentle on the eyes and, although modern , are reminiscent of the old fashioned lights, giving out a warm comforting subdued glow. Well pleased with them.
