So thankful!
I have three kids with dyslexia, and one with other learning difficulties. We have spent so much money on various, very expensive curriculum and it’s been a super anxious and overwhelming process. As a homeschool family our budget was tapped out. I decided to give these workbooks a try and WOW! They’re reading. I wish I would have started them sooner. I’ve found the online games are a great way to cement their learning and they love the matching game! We purchased the app just to make it easier. We will be continuing on with Blast Off to Reading next. Thank you!!!

Dyslexic Child Approved
Being a homeschooling mom of 3, I couldn't understand why my youngest was struggling in reading. After all, the approach I took worked for his siblings just fine. Even with all the extra practice, he was still spelling the word of, "u-v." This was in the 3rd grade! After years, he still couldn't read and was growing more frustrated. He told me that the letters on the page had blue spots and sometimes they would move. Thanks to the trained eye of a teacher friend of mine, we now know that my son has dyslexia. I immediately looked into resources and came across this program. In 2 months time, my son is now reading at grade level and is expected to surpass his peers by the end of the workbook. One mountain crossed, one more to go!

Best educational gift
This book is heaven sent. My 5 year old son had little to no interest in reading. When I brought the book ( Dec 2019) I spend about 15 mins each day with him and he nailed it in less than 3 months. He did all the activities I gave him and was always excited to get into the book. The book gives foundation which is sometimes missed at the kindergarten level. I've paid for other programs online and none compares to this. He is not scared to take up a book anymore., he reads on his own and I am so happy I made this choice, I have even recommended it to friends whose children struggle like mine did. Parents this is one of the best investments you will make for your child, do not hesitate to purchase and remember you only need patience and less than 15 mins each day.

I can't recommend this enough... For realz
I thought that this approach simply might be more digestible for a new reader. Boy was I right. This workbook is fantastic and teaches concepts slowly and clearly. I am so happy I went this way for my new reader. He is reading beautifully and also spelling since the worksheets require both. I can't recommend this enough. My only suggestion: go through the concepts slowly and practice each sheet several times before moving on.I think this slow and clear method is simply more accessible at an earlier age than other workbooks I've used and tried.Nobody encouraged this review. I took a shot and found and bought this on my own accord.I wrote the same review for book B because that's where my son is right now, but this book was what took him there. I can't wait to do the final Blast Off To Reading book with him. I can't recommend this series enough. Quite impressive.

Love this book!
I wish this series was more popular!! It’s seriously so great and yet so simple and affordable, I tell everyone I can about it.My son is autistic and potentially dyslexic. He’s 5.5, and when we started he could only say the ABC’s. We’re getting close to the end of the first book, and he’s reading things everywhere now, and he actually enjoys it and participates, which was huge for him because he started with major avoidance. We had some small hiccups with the app, but the author called us herself and walked us through things. She is wonderful and this series is so great. I can’t wait for what’s up next for my little guy.

I have a six year old that is falling behind at school. We think it is dyslexia. We have an upcoming evaluation scheduled. We started this workbook. She is very motivated to read but usually ends up in tears. Tonight she wouldn't let me leave the table for over two hours. She finished part of lesson five and all of lesson six. She then proceeded to run up stairs and read a bed time story to her dad. It was not the other way around. She read the bed time story. It almost made me cry. If you have a child that is struggling to put together sounds, letters, and read to retain beginning sight words, this is the book. I am not OG trained but feel we are really getting somewhere with this book. Amazing.

Great for struggling readers.
My 8 year old dyslexic 3rd grader, who when tested over the summer was reading at a 1st grade level, loves this book. I’ve had the book for a month now and she never fights me to do a chapter. She enjoys it. The book also starts from the very beginning, with learning the alphabet. My daughter was more beyond that but it was nice to hear her say something was so easy and breeze right through it. This book was also very useful to me as a parent. Before this book I had a hard time teaching her things since I forgot from school, ya know short vowels, constanent blends, floss word, etc. I now feel like a resource for my daughter, I could always tell her but now I help her understand reading.

We absolutely love this series
We absolutely love this series. As a homeschooling family that practices Waldorf methods, I couldn't understand why my third child wasn't learning to read. His older two siblings picked it up so easily at the point he was in the curriculum we chose. I ordered something different, and then tried other/different methods. Nothing was working, and there were tears. He was then diagnosed as dyslexic, and we found this book series. It is working! We are now moving on to Blast Off To Reading, after completing the I Can Read books a and b. He has improved so much, and has even been reading some things on his own. He went from asking me if there was a way to get through life without learning to read (he is only 8, and this broke my heart) to trying out larger words all on his own. I cannot tell you how important these books are for our family. We are so grateful.
