Don't hesitate just buy it
Love it love it. I'm very impressed with the performance for this tool. Well worth the money. If your doing heavy grinding pick up some extra sanding belts you will need them. But all belt Sanders ate that way.

Performs well enough that we ordered a second unit.
Performs well enough that we ordered a second unit. No disappointments. The instructions were pretty thin and we had to figure out how to change the angle of the belt. It is done using the supplied Allen/ hex wrench.

defective but its a fluke
Dony want to ruin the rating for this because i owned one in the past and it wws great for grinding off spot welds. But i think i have received a defective one because the belt kept slipping of the front. So Amazon is taking it back. Thanks amazon. I love chicago pneumatic but i think i will go for a half inch by 18 inch one, woah CP made it in those dimensions.

Edit: the more I use this one the more I hate it. It has a metal wheel on the front instead of a rubber wheel and it just absolutely wears belt out. I really wish I could send it back! Awesome belt sander! Wouldn’t expect anything less for CP. Has more power than the 3m version. Easy belt change, nice trigger control. Would definitely recommend.

Had to send 1 back
I love this sander but I did need a replacement after the first week of use. It seemed like a lot of air was getting past whatever makes it turn and it would get louder and slow down. Hope the second one works better because I do like this product
