HI-TEC Aspen Mid Waterproof Men's Hiking Boots - Black or Brown, Medium or Wide Lightweight Outdoor Trekking Shoes

I bought these to go hiking in Hocking Hills, OH. My experience was positive. The temperature the day we hiked was 19 degrees and the terrain was packed down snow through inclines and declines and snow covered steps. During our hike my feet did not get cold at all. When walking on the snow the traction on these was incredible. While I had to still be careful they hardly slid on the snowy conditions. It was the first time I wore these on that day and they were comfortable right out of the box. I would recommend these boots for winter conditions.

It was a good shoe. It just didn’t fit. I like the way it felt around my ankles how it came up a little higher than normal my only difficulty it was a little too narrow at the very bottom of my foot.

Fits well though will take some breaking in. Seems to be a good buy but I have worn them once so time will tell. If past experiences with the HI-TEC brand hold up, they will be good boots for years to come.

Hi-Tecs are excellent, especially for the price. I've loved and worn out a couple of pairs of Hi-Tec Altitudes. This time I tried the even cheaper Hi-Tec Aspen. After 2 months of daily 1/2-hour hikes, they're fine.

Quality is fine, but fit it horrible. I used to buy another boot from this brand and wide fit fine. Not this pair. Says wide but compresses my toes and digs into my arch. I've tried wearing them several times, but after a day, my feet are done.

These did not turn out well for us. They are heavier than expected and a tight 14W. We needed to return them. It is unfortunate because the price is right.

I am very unhappy with these boots. They are not useable. Zero stars. I have owned them a little while but have only tried them on. I obviously did not spend enough time trying them. I can't get the laces tight. The metal triangular lace eyes are so slick as you try to tighten from toe to top of the boot you can't. The laces release/loosen as soon as you move up the boot. I bought these for a specific trip, hauled them across country but did not wear them. I wish the return window was still open.
