I bought these earrings to use in my second lobe piercing. Not too big, but look good. Just what I wanted.

Silver my arse!I would send them back but I've worn them now.Please be aware that these studs contain no silver whatsoever, not 925/1000 or Sterling as its UK name is, nor any lower proportion of the stuff!I like the way they look and - probably because their pins, butterflies and mounts contain no silver - they don't irritate my earlobes.But the maker's claim that these are 92.5% (the percentage required by trading law in every country in the world, A.K.A. "Sterling" silver is frankly a LIE!Their absence of the claimed precious metal isn't acceptable.But the studs are of a good quality, just not worth as much as they would be, were the claim of silver true.I'm not sending them back because their surgical grade stainless steel construction is a far more suitable metal for the purpose of ear stud pins and their butterflies.So why the big fat fib? Silver is OK for watch cases, rings and other things under little or no tension but if the butterflies that keep these studs attached to my ears were actually made from silver, they would bend and gradually wear away as silver, lovely element that it is in its near pure state, is very soft.But here, not even the mounts are made from silver, which tends to tarnish and turn black in contact with the natural oils that keep our skin looking smooth and undamaged by the ravages of time. These studs, their mounts (the one part of the things where silver would be used, had it been present here) and of course the butterflies are made of a stainless steel, a high grade one but that doesn't give the maker the right to make tge FALSE claim that these studs contain any silver, let alone the 925 per thousand parts of the stuff required by law for the term "Sterling" to be applied to silver.The size of the studs is as stated in the description, the colour, that of my birthstone (turquoise), is good and very close to the actual mineral's shade but, sorry to emphasise this yet again; these are made from a high grade of stainless steel, not silver.So why on earth does the manufacturer feel the need to mislead their buyers? Stainless of this grade is fine, it's more hygienic than silver, far less likely to cause irritation and vastly more durable. And that last point is why I'm not simply sending the studs back for a refund and in spite of the somewhat shan practice of telling untruths regarding the metallurgical makeup of the items! I'm scoring these based on what I thought I was getting, yet what arrived is very good, just not made from silver so I can't give a five star rating.Thanks for reading through that.Jaye ××

Turquoise is my birthstone and I was looking some earrings and saw them it was just what I wanted they are good value

This was the second pair as the first pair were also broken when delivered. These, as you can see in the image never even got removed from the plastic bag inside the box as you can see the stone isn’t even in the silver mount. These are absolute junk and no way could they ever be worth the £15 asking price. Save your money and don’t bother.

Simple, sturdy, keeping colour well, and they stay in! My wife loves them.
