Works great on allergies and colds. My naturopath recommended this product many years ago when I was getting a cold. Since then, I have faithfully taken it as prescribed when I feel the first symptoms of a cold as well as during allergy season. It significantly shortens the days I feel unwell and decreases the severity of the symptoms. For the allergy season, it has eliminated all use of allergy medications, and I have no symptoms except an occasional sneeze. No painful sinuses, sore throat, or wheezing.

First of all Plum Flower the brand is one I trust. Bi Yan PIan works better than any over the counter or Rx drug (I tried all. It's important to take the full does (4 caplets),at least for me anything less doesn't do the job. It's almost immediate. For years I drove past this chinese herb and acupunturist when I had to move my mom in. That first year she got allergies in Spet and by October landed in ER because nothing we gave her worked. The next year the same thing. By the 3rd year in September I said no more. I headed over to the chinese herb guy and told him the situation. He advised us on using Bi Yan Pian for the nose drip (allergies)> It stops it and keeps it from dripping back into your throat and lungs. He also told us to take these other pills by Plum Flower in a box that is in a blister pack for throat cough irritation from allergies. I'm not sure of the name of it. I'm trying to re-order it but my son threw the box away... but this works amazingly well. We no longer suffer anymore. It's such a great feeling to breathe easy and naturally now. I've even watched visitors come to my house suffering from allergies and hand them a glass & 4 the Bi Yan Pian and it's so funny to watch all itheir symptoms cease. It may sound too good to be true but it works at my house.

I bought this for my perpetually stuffy nose and seasonal allergies. I can't report much improvement with those complaints, however, I had a very interesting side effect. I injured my left knee several times over the years and x-rays show I have arthritis and deterioration of the joint. The pain was debilitating, causing me to limit most of my activities. It hurt to walk, go upstairs, it even hurt when I was sitting or sleeping. I could get no relief whatsoever from OTC medications such as NSAIDs. I had already been through physical therapy which didn't help much and I was getting desperate for relief from the pain,so I decided to ask my doctor to start the cortisone injections which she considered a last resort as they can further joint deterioration. I had actually started investigating the possibility of joint replacement, it was that bad. In the meantime, I started taking the Bi Yan Pian for my allergies. Within a day or so of taking the pills at the recommended dose (3 pills 3x/day) I noticed that I wasn't wincing when I got up in the morning. I could walk without pain and after about a week, I could walk up stairs without clutching the railing for support. I did do an internet search of all the ingredients in this product and found that all of them have anti-inflammatory properties. I also found that I could take two pills/day and get excellent relief. It's been like a miracle to me.

Don’t know what to say about this product. I scored only 3 (generous) stars because, following package directions, it gave me very little relief from sinus congestion. Slight relief behind my forehead, almost no relief in center of my face. I was recommended this product in the late 90s by an “alternative” pharmacy that specialized in TCM and similar, but haven’t had sinus problems since. In those days, the product would cause effusive nasal discharge & sneezing for several days, then sweet relief. In this case, almost no reaction, and minimal relief. The look of the pills is also totally different. In the olden days, it was a hard coated pill, either white or red/pink. This last point is not so important, as a lot of time has passed and mfg practices change. So overall, big disappointment. Because of all the great reviews, I may give it another try, but my confidence is very low now. I might also try a different Manufacturer.

Really good product for allergies.

I have been addicted to over the counter nasal spray for decades. To the point that I developed nasal polyps that made it impossible to avoid infection let alone breathe. I started these and they worked wonders at on 2 to 3 tabs a couple times and mainly to sleep with dry and open nasal passages. Then I got really sick from a cold and felt I had gone backward in my healing. Once my sinus infection was cleared, I didn't even need this supplement again. I am free of any type or form of nasal decongestant to this day !!!! I breathe well at night with wide open passages. Wow. My nasal polyps have disappeared. True this. I am living proof this works and I never even finished a full bottle of it.
